Do you think Rihanna actually took part in writing all of the songs for Anti?
Madonna, while one of the most involved, also leaned heavily on collaborators at various points. You also have Mariah - who is the sole lyric and melodic credit on most songs aside from samples or guest features - who also had periods during which she enjoyed collaborating as a team to try out new things. The Memoirs era is a good example - she allowed The Dream much more creative control when they were in the studio together. Now, as I said, I would have a hard time stanning someone who truly just goes in the studio to record vocals over a completed track, but if the music is great then I guess it doesn't matter? Anti is one of my favorite pop albums of the 2010s despite clearly being a writing camp project.

I've never understood the point of full-on stanning a karaoke singer (unless they're a master interpreter like Whitney or had quite a bit of uncredited creative involvement like Aaliyah). I mean, I guess if the music slaps.- Do you think Rihanna actually took part in writing all of the songs for Anti?
Didn't RideorDie already confirm that the songs were either already finished or completed in hired writing camps- SYG: 2026
I feel like Miley just cosplays as whoever is producing each album. I like the new song, but seems like it would work better if she implemented more of her own identity?
