  1. The Grindr yellow-colored cowboy hats we see you queen
  2. It's probably in my top three for favorite songs on the album. I don't understand why some people think it's the worst song.
  3. The way I was considering going to this concert with my parents
  4. I remember being so infatuated with one of my friends in high school, I was convinced that he was closeted like me but we never did anything and eventually he got a girlfriend. Now, I look back on my obsession with him and just cringe.
  5. Yes, I have several TikTok accounts for my different interests (record collecting, motorsports, gaming, etc.). It's easy to get burnt out on managing those accounts though because you have to constantly be posting content to keep your followers engaged, so I don't really use them anymore except the gaming account.
  6. Rest in peace. Come to think of it, I think Claire Bennet was the first LGBT+ character in media I got exposed to.
  7. This song played nonstop where I lived when it was charting. Now I can't remember the last time I heard it in public.
  8. I actually got invited for jury duty for the second time in my life recently. I'm going in October. The last time, I was in college and it was actually pretty crazy because I got chosen for a murder case. I got dismissed though because jury duty couldn't really fit with my schedule at the time.
  9. I constantly hear stories now about how students are struggling to read now and it's so concerning. I've also seen it with the way they approach math now. I volunteer as a math tutor for kids in middle school and so many of them can't grasp basic concepts now. For example, some of them don't know how to do long division, understand basic times tables, or do addition past the number 10. I don't even know what the root cause is anymore. Veteran teachers tell me that students have changed a lot since the pandemic, but I sometimes wonder if there are other structural issues that cause this.
  10. My students were so well-behaved last week but they are testing me rn gonna have to be a lot stricter from now on For years, I tried to rise above Was only light and love But now I'm "Shut the **** up"
  11. At least it gave us this legend
  12. Started catastrophizing all of the sudden about the direction of my life again. This year has been going on so well, but it suddenly hit me that there's so much stuff I need to do after this summer. I know in the end I'm probably overthinking things at least, and I think I'm slowly starting to recover from spiraling earlier this evening. I feel like this Kacey Musgraves song perfectly describes my mood rn Is there a word for the way that I'm feeling tonight? Happy and sad at the same time You got me smilin' with tears in my eyes I never felt so high No, I've never been this far off of the ground And they say everything that goes up must come down But I don't wanna come down
