Did anyone get the physical CD or vinyl?

Nothing beats Over It for me but I do appreciate the more fun moments on this album and Heart of a Woman is one of her best singles

The album is not bad, at all, but it's not as exciting or interesting as her other albums.

 

Over it, Still Over It, and Last Day of Summer all have unique vibes both from the lyrical themes to the production that really pulled me in and felt like an experience— where this to me feels like a nice compilation of tracks. 
 

there are A LOT of songs I'll take away from this: no, 1-800, baller, don't make me do it/tempted, and get yo boy will be on repeat. But I think as a project it would probably rank as my least favorite from her, but it's still very enjoyable, the rest of her albums are all 10s for me, this is a 8.5-9 as of rn. 

Okay just read through the thread and it seems like everyone is being very fair and we're all in a similar-ish boat…

 

FMT really is her Nobody Gets Me, not only do they sound a lot alike but they're also the

I like it a lot though, more than NGM. But it's not in my top 5. No, Baller, Robbed You and Baby are probably better single choices.

 

and yeah… not to be a broken record, but not only are their way too many features, they don't hit nearly as hard as the Over It features which also had a lot of collabs. usher, bryson, jhené, a boogie all elevated their tracks nicely, where a lot of these features would b better as solo tracks IMO.

Catch me calling this an 11/10 album in a few days though. A lot of the songs are growing on me on my third listen.

 

Over it and Still Over It are both in my top 25 favorite albums of all time, so my expectations for this were probably unfairly sky high. Once I sit on it I'll like it more

She really went 3/3 on a trilogy . She did that !!!

I love her discography to death, but sadly I'm not feeling this one. It sounds a bit random compared to her previous projects (and I'm including the EPs as well). There are so many forgettable tracks and so little of the usual passion and sultriness in her writing and production. Aside from a few highlights, I don't see myself replaying it.

Whoever's idea at the label was it to keep 'Take Me Out The Club' off the album deserves to be fired, its too good to be physical edition only

I kinda get why there's so many features, it fits with the (joke?) theme of marriage, that's her guest list. 

 

But... 

 

This album falls short not because the songs are bad, they're pretty good. They're just no thread tying them into a tight concept like it's predecessors.

 

I'm curious as to what the album sounded like last year when she initially launched it. You can hear elements of it but it's become watered down.

 

I also wish this was the album cover

 

 

The album is so good.  I've been having it on repeat all day long. 

 

 

I need to take more listens but so far, Heart Of A Woman and Spend It are the best songs for me. The rest of the album all sounds kinda same-y and uninspired. I prefer the beats and melodies/singing style she had on Last Day of Summer and Over It. Wish she could give us something sensual like White Tee again.

Just finished relistening and yup this is excellent  The girls who got it got it.

this is the vinyl version i purchased, it's the album cover to me 

 

and i think the physical version is the original version of the album. Spend It + Take Me Out This Club were demoted, Baby, Allegedly, and Stitch Me Up are the newer tracks.

highlights for me are Robbed You, No, 1-800, and the title track. Shame theyre mostly towards the front. Hopefully a lot of the other tracks will grow on me. 

Unsurprisingly, the solo tracks are among my faves on initial listens.

 

Don't Make Me Do It/Tempted, Stitch Me Up, Finally Over It, FMT, and Situationship are pretty great,

1-800 Heartbreak is probably the best feature. Anderson always works incredibly well with the girls.
