Lana. Her drama is always funny, and it (typically) comes in the form of a new song or new music. I love Ethel's music, too, but Hayden definitely has a darker/weirder side the more you research.

i don't get the hate on Here For It All whatsoever. i think it was a good Mariah album.

Hold the Girl meant a lot to me as someone who grew up in the church and was gay and had to untangle a lot of that. It truly wasn't for everyone, but those who get it get it, I guess!

The Life of a Showgirl is a flop in that it is a permanent stain on her discography and a critical bomb, regardless of how much it sold.

i actually don't care about any of these albums aside from Caution and i'm a fan of many of these artists we need to stop supporting mediocre work, there's a reason why these are associated w/ floppage

Did their even do any signings or anything? It seems like the team didn't even try. Their charted at #21 in the UK, which is also bad, but there could have at least scraped a Top 20 with a little effort...

This is just a hobby for her. Her career could end tomorrow and she still be Top 0.0001% rich for the rest of her life. It's depressing but she wins either way.

idk but i wish she hadn't retreated after Hold the Girl. she's going to have to rebuild her hype all over. i'm a Hold the Girl defender, too, but waiting 4 years between your 2nd and 3rd album is not great.

I love that she's a rich Jewish girl from LA and her dad is worth $4B and she's trying to cosplay as a rootsy country girl with a southern accent

I remember when she died, I was only 10 and I was legit traumatized. I cried a lot, and I was scared of going on planes after that. Then Left Eye (who I loved even more than Aaliyah) died on April 25 the following year and I cried even more. I always thought it was weird how so many artists seemed to die on the 25th after that. But yes. Looking back, 22 is so extremely young. Aaliyah was so otherworldly. RIP.

I'm happy she's reunited with her Carl, though. She lived such an amazing life. 80 is a good run.
