  1. Oh that global drop actually is quite good for a Sunday no?
  2. As a super fan who usually listens to her new singles 100+ times first week, I've barely revisited this song so I'm not surprised, but still want it to succeed. I do see the GP clinging on to it and saving it, it just needs to get on their radar and the music video could do that. These numbers aren't bad, the drop is normal, but it could very easily go left or right, Monday/Tuesday numbers will be much more defining
  3. The ending is amazing, and the "I-I" is the highlight. Sounds amazing. Her voice has so much range… what a talent!
  4. i This is at the center of my initial disappoint in the track… it's far from bad, it's definitely solid, but it sounds much, much safer production, lyric and melody wise than the description hyped up. BUT, with her switched up vocal delivery and elements of the song I do sense that the album tracks will go harder and this is just the more radio friendly single type… idk.
  5. Positive: LOVE and respect that she switched up her vocal delivery and tone so dramatically. Sounds incredibly fresh from her and I like the direction of this album and can't wait to hear more. Also, I could see it SMASHING. Her most radio and streaming friendly lead since TUN, and maybe more so than TUN. So probably a good pick for a lead. Negative: … with that said, the chorus is a bit of a snooze. The melody and lyrics are kinda boring and the hook is a bit low energy. Dont hate I'm a huge fan :( it might grow on me especially since it is so different from her previous work. Still a net positive, I like the style and direction this is going in, but this song in particular didn't really land hard for me on first listen
  6. Love that we have practically nothing to work with and it hasn't leaked
  7. Positions No Tears Left to Cry Thank U, Next Dangerous Woman The Way Yes, And? Problem Yes and was such a bait, ES being her best album despite it

Having requiem follow runway hits hard too. The devil wears Prada tracks aren't bad, but they definitely felt like Gaga on autopilot. Requiem on the other hand is such a fresh and unique twist in her creative output. You can just feel the passion. Ah. I can't praise it enough. Again runway feels like Gaga doing a corporate Gaga deal, where requiem feels like something she'd make even if no one knew who she was, just feels SOOOO "her" even though we haven't had anything quite like it from her…

Requiem is kinda the coolest, unexpected, and freshest thing I've seen from a mainstream pop act in a while I'm amazed after three watches now. It's so well executed. It's also like, very daring imo. On the surface it doesn't seem that commercial or that there would be a big audience for it, so the fact that she put so much effort into it… it just feels so authentic to her artistic spirit, it reminds me of how she was during BTW. Felt very free

Omg the live album release THANK GOD this has been my #1 want from Gaga regarding streaming platforms. Hopefully it comes to Spotify shortly after

wait…. I kinda see this. In a way, it's giving mid chromatica songs done right in general. I see some Free Woman, Fun Tonight, and Enigma in this too.

I hope she releases a Shape of a Woman music video that's basically the movie scene but repurposed to fit the theme of a music video with maybe a few new scenes sprinkled in the production is FIRE!!! I want her to work with the Mayhem producers for at least another album
  14. denim replied to OreGuy's topic in Base
Shape of a Woman sounds bad and amazing at the same time to me Some parts hit so hard, like the instrumental, I like the verses and post chorus a lot, but then some parts are kinda giving fan generated gaga song It's at least fun and kinda interesting to me, DEFINITELY gives "cut from mayhem" (both in all the good and bad ways) (good in the fact that mayhem is maybe her best album, bad in the fact that I see why it didn't make the tracklist). I'd give it like a 7.5 with room to grow

Wow… glamorous life is easily top 3 Gaga ballad for me. It's so 2000's pop rock ballad. So Michelle branch, Avril, meets GAGA! LOVE!

I haven't seen haters so unified, or maybe the algorithm is just fueling it, but I keep seeing hate ?? Anyways, I THINK ITS A SERVE!!!! So many amazing looks, and the vibe is just so fun. Gives living breathing vogue magazine and accomplishes its mission strongly. there are elements of it that I think could've been better (the set, mostly), but Gaga doesn't have too many of these "serve a bunch of amazing looks and pose" videos in her videography, most of her videos are super conceptual, so I think it's a welcome addition. I prefer the wild storylines and "new worlds" she creates with videos like abra and disease, but this is fun too. The tea look >>> The red devil look >>>> her and doechii in that suit >>>>

I also remember hearing Judas' bridge for the first time and thinking it was Gaga's best and going to be her biggest hit Little did I know… Well in a way I was sorta right, just had to wait 14 years I still can't fully process that it outstreams bad romance, paparazzi, telephone, etc… on the regular

yup yup yup I remember thinking ARTPOP was a groundbreaking masterpiece. BTW took me like a year or two to fully love (during the wait for AP)

Shadow of a man is only 20,000 streams away from Vanish into you (daily)… Need it go viral now with all this MJ buzz

Gagas 2020's singles ranked by quality imo: Disease Abracadabra Rain on Me Die with a Smile Runway The Dead Dance Stupid Love Hold My Hand
  23. denim replied to OreGuy's topic in Base
I like Runway wayyyy more than the dead dance. But both are definitely leagues below Abra/Disease TDD is just so boring to me. The Dead Dance, Hold My Hand, and Stupid Love are her bottom 3 singles IMO

Wait so do we know if the Chappell collab is confirmed? Or is this a harleyquin situation where it's an inspired album and some of the songs aren't actually in the movie

An album full of Disease, Perfect Celebrity, Heavy Metal Lover, Government Hooker >>>> That's honestly my favorite soundscape for Gaga… the dark electronic production with her dramatic gothic pop vocals, while still having classic popstar Gaga moments sprinkled in… she really thrives there and it seems like this side of Gaga connects with her too. It's not the most commercial, but it stands the test of time. Majority of her "viral tiktok" songs fall in this category
