Noooooo i can't believe it. i quote the advice she told miley all the time "you do you, i do me, and together we'll be us!"- The Amount of hard drug use in the gay community is sad and heartbreaking
Also, it's not shocking that gay men want to party. The dance floor is the one of the few places where some people are able to feel free and be themselves. Especially in this super heteronormative society we live in. Everybody is working over 40 hours a week in an environment, where they aren't able to be full themselves. Of course, partying is gonna be the place where they want to go. https://medium.com/@a86058398/the-evolution-of-party-culture-ddd0cb08953f You trying to paint a completely normal activity that people have been doing since the dawn of time, as a abnormal thing is a choice.- The Amount of hard drug use in the gay community is sad and heartbreaking
I did carefully read your op. It's a very puritianical viewpoint on partying. I'm sorry that happened to you. But, that doesn't negate the fact that people can consume those substances safety (minus meth, that's not like those other drugs you mentioned). Just because someone likes to party doesn't mean they are even necessarily doing those substances either. Alot of people who party, just do alcohol and smoke tabacco/weed or could even party sober. If you read my post carefully, you would understand partying is not all about drugs. Partying =/= Addiction People can be addicts and do other activities, it's not something that's unique to partying. You go into any industry where theres long hours, finance, accounting, restaurant industry, alot of people are on some form of stimulant to make it through the work day. Yet, i'm sure if someone were to tell you they are a waiter, an accountant,, etc. you wouldn't associate it with drug usage.- The Amount of hard drug use in the gay community is sad and heartbreaking

The way some people talk about c*ke on here, you would've thought it's some super deadly substance. I will say though, there is definitely a meth problem. But that definitely stems from something deeper and societal. Do they want to party? Or do they want to parTy? Those are two completely different things. There's nothing wrong with wanting to go out and party in their 30s & 40s. Partying and nightlife have always been places where people can socialize, form community and source of liberation from everyday societal norms. It can be a very healing thing to do. Just cause you personally had bad experiences at clube and associate partying with hooking up and getting wasted, doesn't mean others view it the same. or that partying is a bad thing. There's a huge community of people out there that go out to party because their favorite DJ is playing. For me personally, I love partying and will certainly be doing it well into my 50s, I love to experience music in a big open venue, surrounded by others who also appreciate the sound of music. I've created many friends through nightlife/partying, and the dancefloor has been such a healing place for me when I've been down.- Should public cruising be shamed in 2026?
