KAROL G - 'NO ME ARREPIENTO DE SENTIR TANTO'
Currently listening to this. I'm almost through (on track 10), and there have been absolutely no skips. I can already tell that it's a great, cohesive record. My highlights so far are Matadora,Final Feliz (such a beautiful ballad), Ahi, and Still. Edit: just finished listening, and yeah, it is a great record from start to end. Bby Wow is another highlight for me.

BB200: petal #1 295k
"challenging for #2 second week". A gag indeed.

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
#1 in Switzerland too. The album has now debuted at #1 in 15 countries and is among her top 3 albums with the most #1s on official charts worldwide, behind only TU,N (18 #1s) and Sweetener (26 #1s). It's most likely going to surpass TU,N with the US, Canada, and several other countries still joining the list. https://hitparade.ch/charts/alben Praying it can cross 300K in the US. They should announce the numbers in the next 2–3 hours.

Will "Die with a Smile" be Gaga's big final hit?
Gaga has had hits throughout every single era of hers, so imo, it seems highly unlikely that she'd suddenly stop having hits now. She's still young, eager, makes good music and has the ambition to continue being a successful pop star. The only thing that could potentially hinder her success in the future is ageism, since literally every popstar sadly gets affected by it in the industry. She doesn't need another hit, though. She has nothing left to prove.

NBC: How scrutiny over Ariana Grande's weight affects people with eating disorders
It's like nobody wants to listen to what these artists say, crucify them and their looks, judge them without hesitation, but then end up surprised if/when something happens to them. She told us multiple times that you shouldn't speak about anyone's looks, including hers, because we don't know what a person is going through. She communicated this through her own lyrics and music, made videos about it on Tik Tok, and even talked about it during interviews. Yet here we are, with the whole world discussing her body and making shallow claims that no one even knows are true or not. She might have an ED. She might not. Is everyone suddenly a doctor?

FLO - 'Therapy at the Club'
Just had my first listen, and this is a great, skipless sophomore album. They delivered the highest quality once again. Therapy at the Club is a perfect blend of pop and R&B, successfully adapting to modern, current trends. The highlights for me on first listen: Small Doses Cry Ugly I can't be high around you anymore Pose Sex in Peace Touche

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
The two vinyls I ordered weeks ago (standard & the gray skies one) finally arrived today and they're so stunning and visually pleasing. The shoot for the album fits the whole dark vibe of the era just perfectly. I'm also happy she's finally including booklets in her vinyls (since ES).

Perez Hilton self-harms and has mental breakdown on TikTok live, police at his house
The video was absolutely horrifying and disturbing to see. I never liked him, but nobody deserves to go through this. Wishing him a speedy recovery and healing. Whatever the situation may be, I hope they take custody of his children away. He is clearly mentally unstable and shouldn't be raising any children to begin with.

Beyoncé - "MORNING DEW (DONK)"
omg the remix is so good.

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
Some of you talking about "weird production" and "no big vocal moments", but then gagging in every Charli XCX and Lana thread. The double standards when it comes to Ari are just too much.

KAROL G - "Matadora"
A huge summer bop.

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
If it holds up, it would become her second biggest opening week. That's quite amazing!!!

Spotify | Ariana Grande - petal | Day 8: 24.3m
it's literally all over the first page. Anyway, great numbers. 62m is her second biggest debut there, so this is not bad at all!

Cardi B - "AH HA"
Another bop from her.

Ariana Grande - "petal"
Wow, the video was amazing and so much fun to watch. This is in her top 3 videos of the decade (Positions, WCBF & this).

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
stay, big feelings and oh well grew on me immensely throughout the day. This album is a masterpiece. It's definitely in her top 5 for me already. The critics and stan world are doing to Petal exactly what they did to Positions, panning a mellow, soft pop/R&B masterpiece upon release, only to call it underrated years later.

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
The album is great. It kind of reminds me of a mix between ES and Sweetener. The sound she's using on a lot of the tracks, especially the ones with those bubble like textures, is the experimental side of the album, which reminds me a lot of Sweetener. Petal, however, still feels like its own entity rather than sounding like any of her previous albums. The album borrows certain stylistic elements from albums like those mentioned, but it ultimately stands on its own. I would say that it's a dark, yet euphoric and deeply melancholic record. My faves/current top 3: Like I Do, Petal and Never Get Over Me.

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
Omg. Could you tell us a bit about the genre too? Like, are there any R&B tracks, or is it mostly pop?

Tyla - 'A*POP'
Right Now is my new fave. It goes off so hard. Current Top 5 (in order): Right Now She Did It Again That Girl Mr. Nonchalant Hot Tubs

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
It ends at midnight est, though. It's definitely a global release.

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
It is probably based on her saying that she is taking a slower approach to releasing music and has reconciled her relationship with it in a different way. I don't remember exactly when she said that, but it was before the ES era. Anyway, I'm happy this hasn't l-worded yet, and I hope it stays this way until Thursday at noon, at the very least (it would be better if it did not at all, but that is going to be impossible).
