they're certainly not bad, like they're solid tracks, some significantly better than others. but this deluxe obviously had like one intention, and it's a bit worrying that this is what she cooks up to deliver that. like this is literally the best she could do and it's just not great you knoww but i hope this is a farewell to max and pop music in general. her lyricism just does not usually shine on pop music, obviously with a fare few exceptions. i think that comes with the songwriting process, cause i think she usually makes a melody topline then writes over it when doing pop, especially with max. meanwhile other albums prioritised lyrics first. i hope her next album is a return to the grand and expensive instrumentation that we saw on her first 4 records, where there was room for upbeat songs that emphasised the lyrics more. all max has is his legacy, like he truly has lost it. even ES production was not interesting at all, and i believe ilya did a lot of the heavy lifting. like he's a legend but as katy said 'fabulous for a throwback!'

you're not gonna twist history like it clearly wasn't not surprising 'AT ALL' considering we literally all thought the deluxe was self-titled TV, even when mr.s said it was a deluxe. it's been a whole year girl, and it's been crickets on her end about showgirl besides a compilation clip of elizabeth taylor. she didn't even bring it up in the grammy interview so it was surprising like and no she didn't clearly mean that there would be no 3AM edition. she made it pretty clear that she was so proud of this album and the 12 tracks she chose were perfect. obviously she can change her mind, especially considering the reception of the album, i'm not blaming her for that. but these tracks are literally not strong enough to clean up the TLOAS PR nightmare, especially when it's been a whole year. i like the tracks, and im sure swifties will too, but this is not gonna do s*** besides make the OTH complain about variants lol so they killed cassandra first
