this is how I feel after having a listen... this album isn't as cohesive as the previous 2. the songs don't really blend well & she messed up with a lot of the features. she doesn't really have a distinct hit... "Over It" had "Playing Games" , "Come thru" , and "Body"... / Still Over It had "No Love", and even "Ex For A Reason" at some point... I don't really see any of these songs being distinctly remembered in 2 years or moving the ranking of her discography drastically. still a solid project tho.

oh you collected her bad...

my same thoughts... all the songs are just.... like there.... nothin really stands out besides a few

  • i prefer still over it. i blame the era on poor mgmt. even tho she was in a dark place i wish the label pushed more singles (and NOT wait so long to push no love).    no love, unloyal, const

she was really the poor mans sza lmao

Oh you better watch your back :duck:

Trying to have an objective and open-minded first listen, but Gosh, this collabs list is exhausting in itself.

I really need take me out this club! She played not putting it on streaming lol

I enjoy every song a lot the glaring problem for me is the endless, unnecessary features. none of the males features aside from teddy did anything for me and baller coulda been scrapped and take me out this club would've been better there.

And that's how it should be. Crediting the artist from a sample is kinda crazy

They use her vocals though.

US Apple Music:

(NEW) #32 How Sway

(NEW) #40 FMT

(NEW) #52 Baller

(+82) #60 Heart Of A Woman

(NEW) #68 Baby

(NEW) #70 Don't Make Me Do It/Tempted

(NEW) #84 Number One

Around this time with Still Over It, songs were flooding the Top 10 on AM already, with "Bitter" being at #1

I mean, Still Over It was literally the biggest debut of all time on Apple Music for a female artist… the songs debuted straight into the top 10 like six hours after release. Unfortunately, I don't think she has the hype this time (or the quality)

this is weird tho cause how are the first two tracks not charting? usually the first day the tracks debut in order, are people really not listening to the full album?

the album is solid but it is the weaker project of the trilogy.

over it & still over it had stronger concepts and their productions were more cohesive. also, i hate how she gave mad promo/attention to the first two then went silent til it was time to drop. :skull:

and the ppl being overly critical on this album is corny bc its not bad.

imo this would have been a stronger tracklist:

1. Scars

2. No

3. 1-800 Heartbreak

4. Heart Of A Woman

5. Situationship

6. Give Me A Reason (ft. Bryson Tiller)

7. FMT

8. How Sway (solo)

9. Spend It (added)

10. Baller (ft. GloRilla, Sexyy Red & Monaleo)

11. Don't Make Me Do It / Tempted

12. Get Yo Boy (ft. 21 Savage)

13. Stitch Me Up

14. Finally Over It

having multi collabs collabs could sour the listening experience. the collabs i cut are cute but would have worked if she added them later as deluxe tracks.

So?? Mariah herself used Debarge vocals on I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time too, no credit. She used Donnell Jones vocals on I Don't, no credit. She used Eric B. & Rakim vocals on Type Dangerous, no credit. The only time she did it was for Lauryn Hill on Save The Day.

When the sampled vocals were used as part of the instrumental track, it's kinda mental to demand a feat.

honestly I feel like her best bet is to just push "FMT" thats the strongest song... and its kinda perfect for a fall/winter hit. I just need a little more time with the album... which is crazy 2 me because I got her last 2 instantly... and even played "Clear 2" back to back when it dropped in 2023.

second half is definitely stronger… the first 4 songs on the second half are 4/4 for me so far

these are like just a lil better than AITD

i thought it was coming to FLOOD

The expectation was always for her to do moreso OI numbers than SOI, obviously based on the single performances this wasn't going to be a monstrous AM debut, stop trolling

Enjoyed this, second half was definitely stronger for me. FMT and Finally Over It stood out the most on first listen for me.

FMT is a hit.

Honestly though, my main complaint is the features. 90% of them just weren't needed idk

Is it as good as Still Over It?

Any song that holds up to No Love, Throw It Away, You Don't Know Me, Insane, Constant Bulls**t, Switch a N Out?

Otherwise I won't bother checking out LOL.

this was kinda horrible... I maybe enjoyed like 1 or 2 songs :chick3:

Still Over It remains her best
