I remember when she died, I was only 10 and I was legit traumatized. I cried a lot, and I was scared of going on planes after that. Then Left Eye (who I loved even more than Aaliyah) died on April 25 the following year and I cried even more. I always thought it was weird how so many artists seemed to die on the 25th after that. But yes. Looking back, 22 is so extremely young. Aaliyah was so otherworldly. RIP.

I'm happy she's reunited with her Carl, though. She lived such an amazing life. 80 is a good run.

Wow, Aaliyah and Dolly Parton both died on the same day. Michael Jackson, James Brown, Left Eye all died on the 25th of the month, too. :( RIP to an absolute legend. Such an inspiration. I wish more were like her.
