It most likely got steady plays over the full week and now debuted on day 7. Dont expect much of a rise in the coming days, but would love to be wrong

My sister (17yo) was complaining the other day because she used to be the only Taylor fan in her high school class (it's Spain so mostly reggaeton/latin music for the others) and suddenly 8 to 10 classmates are jumping on the bandwagon and planning to fight for tickets when the international dates are announced.

SIO and We are never are not worst than Don't Blame and Cruel summer is not this masterpiece, i mean out of the woods is better and it's from a very famous album.

 

But i agree now gp (especially global, in the us most already knew it) know her for her eclectic catalog and versatily while in 2012-2019 for the international gp audience she was just a kind of katy perry.

we are never is more defyning for her career and lyrics are more personal and swiftian than don't blame there is just generic bland pop song rihanna or katy could sing without changing a word or a note (and every other popstar). My love is my baby my baby is my drug. Wow.    "and you're gonna find your peace of mind with some indie records that's just cooler than mine". That's top tier swiftian lyricsm .

Sio production is just at another level than DBM  . Top 15 of max martin productions (all his production, not only taylors i mean). Lyrics yeah generic but DBM is that too.

Seems HITSDD was in fact underestimating the Tour's impact:

 

1989 went from 20.2K and #20 (midweek prediction) to 21.9K and #19 (final prediction).

Folklore went from 22.6K and #18 to 25.3K and #18.

Lover went from 26.1K and #14 to 29.7K and #13.

Midnights went from 59.5K and #3 to 62.5K and #3.

 

Red TV (#22) and Reputation (#24) also really close to the Top 20.

Most likely not. You need many weeks in the top 10 to rank high on the All time rankings.

I think most of the sales are people picking up the vinyl/cd at a target or music store. For her big machine records , the vinyls and cds are no longer being produced and distributed. If she stayed at big machine, I imagine the vinyl sales of 1989 right now would be very high .

I think Is 1989 Is the Classic. 

Lover is already dropping while 1989 Is peaking and the Daily difference is like 400k Daily.

 

Without WD or this love already released as TV 1989 after the tour boost would be more streamed than lover. 

 

Lover is just more recent but in the long term 1989 (and i think also Red e Rep) will be bigger.
