  1. Yeah, it's not a diaster. I would say that autoplay had the biggest impact on singles not albums. However, I would say hate that i made you love me has been performing great. Very few new songs (especially non country) perform well . I haven't checked the numbers specifically but it looks like it performed better than drop dead I do believe the album performance has been underpeforming a fair bit but I think it's mostly explained by how mellow the album is to listen to. To me, I think Ariana trade a better lead single performance for a worse album performance. The album would have performed better with no lead single, considering that there was no song that was a revelation to boost it like eternal sunshine had with we can't be friends.
  2. There has been no autoplay for new releases for a year or two. Autoplay has gone back to prioritizing proven hit songs. A big reason why new releases are struggling so much . In addition, Spotify crackdown on free accounts, apis etc have led to lower streaming numbers from them.
  3. Because people wanted her to be the next Rihanna . Her label invested a lot in her . Fashion labels love her So high expectations I agree that she lacks the persona and hits to be a major star Those two are most important factors to a sustainable music career
  4. Sadly I don't think Billboard will update the full version anytime soon since Morgan Wallen would end up topping it
  5. Apparently phoebes literal bed (copied in 2017) which Phoebe is referencing. Great songwriting material
  6. Unfortunately, it's not about raising them right or them being sweet They were breed to have low threshold for arousal, and explicitly to be triggered into excitement by small animals and other dogs. And then breed to keeping on biting once aroused, no matter how damage being inflicted on them. It's all insticts for them Many pitbulls never get triggered in their life and are just sweet dogs. But even the sweetest and most gentle, can get triggered in an instant and do dreadful violence, even against their owner
  7. Yeah, it's not Atrl specifically. But more the viral tweets and Tiktoks about Ariana's weight that echo similar sentiments
  8. That's not what I was saying I am saying unfortunately, that people saying that Ariana is too skinny actually feeds her ED (and other's ED) In general, people suffering from anorxia usually percieve those comments as positive reinforcement for their ED. As a compliment that motivates them to starve themselves eve more . Any discussion of someone suffering from an ED's weight feeds the ED . Saying that she looks ill, saying that she looks healthy, saying that she's too skinny, saying that she's too fat, they fall feed the ED. It makes them even more aware of their weight and feeds their desire for control (aka starving themselves) The whole premise of "body checks" is that those suffering from anorxia want people to talk about how skinny they are. EDs are fundamentally a mental social illness
  9. No. She started getting hyper scrutinized during Wicked promotion because since it was a blockbuster movie, she was doing a massive amount of contractural promotion . It started the massive public discourse about her weight. This hyper scrutiny continued with her current tour and album cycle.
  10. However, it's also absolutely true that Ariana's likely ED is being used as a weapon in stan wars. That people just use it to attack her Frankly, she looked very skinny but more healthy than now during her Wicked era. The rabid discussion of her and Cynthia's weight during that period would feed most people's ED. So ironically those concern trolling Ariana are likely partially responsible for her current state Dreadful situation
  11. ED are a contagious social illness If Ariana has anorexia, she is mentally ill It's correct to be concerned about Ariana's visible struggle spreading anorexia to others. Because that's the nature of anorexia being a contagious social illness To blame Ariana personally incorrect. Because she's ill. The scrutiny that Ariana has faced for decades over her weight , makes EDs almost inevitable. Almost every celebrity has an ED even through most struggle visibily less than Ariana. However, anorexia feeds off people saying how concerned they are about how skinny she is. Any discussion about Ariana's weight feeds both her anxorexia but also millions of others suffering from the same illness So the correct response from everyone is to stop talking about Ariana. Both her fans and those angry at her, need to stop posting about her . No one should be spreading photos of current Ariana now It only both encourages her own anorexia but also hurts millions of civilians also struggling with anorexia
  12. I know you are trolling Beyonce endorsed Kamala against Trump The demand that celebs have to pointlessly post against Trump is insane Beyonce like many other artists are off social media outside work promotions
  13. A few things. Spotify has cracked down on free accounts reducing total streams Spotify has also shifted to boosting older, proven hit songs in their playlists and algorithms which hurts the performance of new music
  14. People said that about Best Latin Pop album only for Bad Bunny to win Album of the Year last year. Grammys are fundamentally an American (+British) music industry award show It was no more a pity category than Best Spoken Word Poetry Album, Best Regional Roots Music Album, Historically, grammys has so many different genre categories especially because only a small group of music & artists are competitive in the main categories because Grammy voters appreciate a specific type of musicians. Girl groups and boy groups have never been respected by the Grammys as Grammy's values singer-songwriters not dance. The whole premise is to have a ton of categories so music that won't be awarded in the main categories will be awarded somewhere.
  15. That's the norm for all major artist nowadays. Tour promotion is the only thing that has major effects on song performances nowadays. It's really frustrating for us fans. TBH, it's because those hits were mostly local to the USA unlike her earlier career hit songs. Her 2020s songs also aren't super well suited for playlists which is the main form of song consumpation nowadays. Also her fanbase is simply less active and older as result of her decreased promotion. Her streams are still great considering she's a veteran artist
  16. Her voice soundwise really doesn't pair well with other female audiences
  17. It's #7 on streaming songs But it's a cute little country song. I am surprised that it's performed this well on the charts Taylor's soundtrack songs and other side projects usually flop completely
  18. It's not a true norm. No one actually does it. Because almost every person has scandals to one degree or the other including Charli It's just an excuse to drag celebs we don't like (Also Taylor didn't invite a Gestapo officer. Travis invited the adopted father of his childhood friend who happens to be a boardmember of the 2nd largest federal contractor in the USA, that has thousands of different contacts . Expectating Taylor research every single contract for her husband's friend's father's board's contracts, is insane)
  19. The actual difference is that Taylor doesn't do pre-release singles anymore . So by the time a 3rd song has been released as an official single, the song is 6 months old and already massively consumed. She sacrafices the performance of 2nd and the 3rd singles for the lead single and album performance.
  20. Lizzo was flopping before 2023. About this Time initially flopped. It only became a hit due to Tiktok. The album itself only debuted with 69K units despite having such a big hit. Unfortunately, her persona was not one that created a dedicated a fanbase but instead relied on gp support She broke through in a moment where self-affirmative songs were popular. That moment quickly passed.
  21. I Knew It, I Knew You is outstreaming Stupid Song. 13.5 million (#5 on streaming songs) to Stupid Songs's 13.1 million (#7th). If Taylor's song is absymal so would Olivia's. Both are instead great numbers but Olivia's team focused on getting Drop Dead to a high peak on radio. It's before great on radio. Spotify makes it's numbers the most public but it's only at 36% market share.
  22. She was dragging Trump in that time period. People would like her tweets but forget about them in a week. Nowadays she is off social media like most celebs. They have realized that celebs speaking out does nothing good.
  23. Samoyeds are super cute. They have normal prices for purebreed puppies. What's your favorite breeds?
  24. This guy is the adopted father of Travis Kelce's childhood friend. Said friend is also a former foster youth and democratic activist at the Juvenile Justice Intiative, a organization working to end the unjust detention of minors. A super mixed family politics wise. No, her PR people didn't micromanage her wedding elsewise it would just be close family in a house in the middle of nowhere When you have a 1000 guests, many of them invited by the groom. Some of them will have scandals For better or worse, she is living her life and not letting pr dictate it. Very few in real life care about non public figures at a celebs wedding.
  25. Trying to cancel Taylor for not running an extended background check on her boyfriend's friend's adopted father Close friends were able to invite their parents (Kam brought his mom). They aren't running background checks on the parent's politics
