Yeah…. The burn out is real. Something happened to the quality of her songwriting. She has her ups and downs but lately it's just been a downward trajectory with her melody and lyrics. She needs to take a long break, go live a quiet life, and then come back in 3-5 years. Her best and most consistent albums in my opinion was when Nathan Chapman was her producer. I'd love for her to work with him again. I want to see what new music they could do together.

I agree with everything you said. The Anthology was the last good album she released. Hopefully returning back to the Debut (TV) era will inspire her to go back to country music. I also think being super famous and living in the city/lavish lifestyle has also had a negative impact on her songwriting. Her music was better when she lived in Nashville.

It's because the songwriting is good. Avril's main weakness on her albums is bad songwriting. The melodies are fine for the most part.
