Thanks for giving some context King. I think the reaction from the commenter is because the format on mobile has changed and the pinned conversations are so prominent. Pair that with the weirdly feral response from critics and non-fans over everything this woman has done for a whole year, and it does feel like we're being dunked on in our little corner of the internet with nonsensical claims. That is until you actually read the satire of the thread.

No problem. The pile on has been more than a lot and has been for years. It can be very exhausting and demoralizing as a fan, and rather than spiral and get drawn into nonsense, some of us decided to flip the script and embrace the chaos to show how ridiculous most of the discourse is. Taking little elements that people reach to try and find a problem with and building a narrative around it is how it started.

Now that I merged the two versions of Showgirl into one on last.fm, the album has more plays that folkbore.

i have every taylor song added to a giant playlist so that i can put them on shuffle when i'm not in the mood for a particular album and i just want to be surprised and i just got "bigger than the whole sky" followed by "today was a fairytale" followed by "right where you left me"

when ME, YNTC, and the lover album was panned, we got folklore. The problem was TFOO was such a big hit and Opalite went #1, and the album did 4 million first week so she doubled down. Hopefully this wakes her up.

if she's sticking with pop, I'd love something left field or Robyn Esque dance pop. I'd also love dream pop / grunge.

I can't wait to win the Ticketmaster war for the next tour!!! Given everyone is in psychosis and revoking their fan cards.

Im gonna go on one very long last rant here and bounce. This place is miserable and idk how 40 year old men losing their **** like this arent embarrassed about it (some stans and oth alike).

Anyway there's no way the pannings arent because of Cleveland. Like they're mad she didnt become embrassed of the album and doubled down while making a track saying she reads reviews but doesn't care for now because she just got married. Like that angered people so ridiculously that they went back and gave it a lower score even though the other 3 songs were better than more than half of showgirl. Critics are transparent, if you dont bow to them and "course correct " they're coming at you.

Out of the 3-4 years I've had an account here, ive collectively been here maybe 10 months total and i am so glad i never became a stan of anyone, it's exhausting projecting how you feel towards your fave let alone the no social life embarssingly self proclaimed obsessed haters who have nothing going on doing the same. Imagine making ******* music so exhausting when its supposed to be an escape from the world which is **** right now

I'd advise yall to enjoy the fact she's putting so much music out during her peak instead of being so easily influenced over 1 mid album. To me, pink and babylon are such great songs, idgaf enough to invalidate her whole career just because she had 1 miss. Some of you should really think of just dropping her for a bit instead of trying to poison the well so much, its not a big deal to ignore an album you don't like and wait for the next one. Shes proven way too many times shes a great artist, it's very odd some of you are taking the bait of her having to make some grand magnum opus to "redeem herself" when she's proven herself repeatedly (fearless red 1989 folklore evermore ttpd), like relax a bit damn.
