Pink Clouding and Babylon are literally 10/10 classic Taylor Swift. Patient Zero's bridge is a bit of a hiccup but it still sounds like the biggest hit of the three.

ATRL has routinely pinned album review threads either as featured threads or banners. We also put a terrible, critically panned album in the logo with the metacritic score. People cackled at that, but now have an issue with this. It's very amusing.

As far as that thread, it was deliberately absurd to show just how ridiculous the discourse and think pieces have been on Taylor and her music since last year. It was satire.

The only track I didn't like is Cleveland, but I get what Taylor was trying to say.

I'm also impressed how the girls from Chats and Reacts always catch almost everything from the first listen.

And about that basé trying to trash Taylor: y'all should remember this moment and have no mercy when their fave drops her mid music.

Like, I'm not even mad at the Deluxe or the album in general... if that's the album she wanted to make at the time, fine, why not, I'm not gonna be psychotic about it like the OTHs are in all of those threads... I'm just not gonna really listen to it lol

HOWEVER
She has such an insane amount of untapped-into potential up her sleeve, PLEASE just get new people to work with.

Here are some of my most favorite dream scenarios:

• guitar driven trip hop album: very chill and "beachy", almost a bit of psychedelic pop, just singing about life and the world... like, 90s New Age but 2020'd or whatever

• Sheryl Crow-esque mom rock album: reflecting on a new chapter in life, big chorus, fewer words and more singing

• adult country album with some slight electronic influences, kinda like some of the tracks on Madonna's brilliant "Music" album

• orchestral pop rock, like grown up versions of Haunted or (more polished) Who's Afraid Of Little Old Me/Smallest Man Who Ever Lived (ugh these two MASTERPIECES)

• Whatever crack it was she put into State of Grace, an entire album like that

And that's literally just from the top of my head... and we know for a fact that there are all these amazing cool young producers out there. Who would JUMP at the chance to work with her.

All she has to do is lean into it.
