  1. I just watched the James Carville video condemning Netanyahu and his government but it didn't exactly sit right with me how he criticized them specifically but not Israel as a whole. I feel like Netanyahu and friends are just the tip of the iceberg and that being evil genocidal maniacs is ingrained into their culture. I've noticed Bernie does this too and limits his criticism to just Netanyahu which makes me side eye him a bit on this one issue. Am I over thinking this? I'm not as well versed on the history of Israel as other posters here so please call me out and correct me if I'm wrong.
  2. Patiently waking for Kamala, with the worst political instincts ever to come out and condemn Hasan and reaffirm Israel's "right to exist"
  3. It's really crazy when you think about it. Farmers had it so good. USAID, SNAP, cheap labor, fertilizer, and great trade deals but yet they voted it all away for racism
  4. If that's how you take then so be it but as I stated to you earlier, it ain't changing over here. Taking your angst over to Bluesky is the best advice I can offer
  5. You're looking for harm reduction and I'm looking for progress, it's simple as that so I'm not sure what else you're attempting to accomplish here.
  6. Right and I'm also sure Jeffries met with Kushner to discuss affordability
  7. Sir/ma'am if you're pleased with establishment Democrats then that's wonderful for you! It's still not changing over here.
  8. Winning for the sake of winning is exactly what will happen if establishment Democrats take back full control and inevitably do nothing substantial with their power. Voting for and being complacent with harm reduction that inevitably results in an even worse fascist takeover 4 years later is an even worse way to think or live. Sorry but some ppl would rather starve as opppsed to eating s**t sandwiches.
  9. After the Hakeem Jeffries debacle and the unified front against Hasan I no longer care about Democrats winning majority in either chamber. I just hope for all progressive candidates to win their races and that's it. The Democratic establishment in it's current form needs to die and I hope even more incumbents are primaried in 2028 (assuming we still have elections)
  10. I truly believe this is unfortunately quite common in the industry. You have Beyoncé, Taylor, Xtina, Miley etc who I believe were all victims BUT their parents actually cared and were present enough to not let them get fully taken advantage of (still creepy and problematic nonetheless) and then you have your Britneys, Amanda Bynes, Lindsays etc whose parents completely sold them to the industry and turned a blind eye.
  11. I don't even remember Artpop having backlash outside of the fan fueled rivalry between her and Katy at the time but maybe I'm misremembering nnn I don't even see "backlash" with Petal, just that the music is a bit mediocre. The discourse over her body however is definitely overshadowing everything else. When it comes to her family, friends, team etc I think people in general are just confused and concerned on if they're enablers.
  12. As someone who has always enjoyed her music and seen her live she's never been a super serious artist. As someone else mentioned music has always been a means to an end to float her overall career as a celebrity. The thing is I'm sure majority of her fans know this and don't mind it. So yeah the overall attitude she has had towards her music career over the years doesn't necessarily translate to strong catalog streams.
  13. Serious question but is this before or after she posted about white ppl needing to do better, check their privilege, be better allies in fighting racism etc? Not tryna excuse her ignorance of her microaggression at all but ppl do grow and evolve so I'm hoping at the very least this wasn't after she took a public stance about being an ally
  14. The fact that Republicans are out there claiming they are so happy to be running against AES, DSA candidates etc has to be one of the most extreme examples of COPE I've seen in politics Deep down they know Trump only got elected twice because he was able to weaponize a populist message against minority communities. The fact that Progressive candidates are breaking through with populist policies and calling out the billionaires at the top has them nervous.
  15. Same. At the end of the day older voters who skew towards the Democratic establishment are a very reliable voting block and they will not be turning out in November to vote for a Republican. The true "vote blue no matter who" crowd
  16. I wish I had the link to share but some clown on Laura Coates show last night had the audacity to give the talking point that AES struggle with black voters is due to black people being overwhelmingly in support of Israel. This is just a prime example of how these pro Israel shills try to use the black community to stay in power. Granted, he absolutely does have ground to make up with black voters but it has nothing to do us being allegedly pro Israel. Most black ppl don't give af about foreign policy to begin with
  17. Sorry I haven't watched CNN in ages and baby Laura Coates is BEAT I definitely forgot how beautiful she is
  18. An Abdul El-Sayed win by ANY margin shouldn't be downplayed considering the amount of money that was poured into this race against him.
  19. If Stevens pulls this out I'm just done with politics no joke. Black people refuse to get off the Democratic establishment plantation and it's beyond sad to witness. Well I did my job in convincing my boomer aunt and uncle to vote for Abdul today so let's just see how this goes.
  20. CNN already replaying and sinking their teeth into Francesca Hong's Thanksgiving answer
  21. I saw that and it reminded me of how much I can't stand him. Then the way he reduces EVERYTHING to identity politics like the only compliment he could muster up for Abdul was "a little Muslim boy can look at the screen and feel proud" nnnn Not saying representation is a bad thing AT ALL of course but the fact he couldn't think of any other compliment
  22. Watching CNN and these Republican commentators are being so disingenuous with their feedback. They're allegedly so "thrilled" to be potentially running against Abdul because he's a socialist but yet the only ammo they have on him is the "socialist" label itself
  23. Poured my wine and rolled my blunt I'm ready for the establishment meltdowns tonight
