Re: deluxe physicals, it's also been a whole year since launch. Almost anyone who really wanted the album on vinyl got it by now, so an extra version won't hurt especially with just 4 new tracks so most won't even bother. TTPD was much more blatant with the 15 extra tracks dropping on vinyl only 7 months later (not to mention how those 4 deluxe songs all on separate versions were put on streaming the day of release ). So yeah this shouldn't cause mass psychosis.

And it's the shortest of the 4, but still 3:10. She delivered something like I look in people's windows with 2:20 so we should be very scared. I think sonically it'll give Father Figure, a warbled almost eerie instrumental, to recreate that fake euphoria associated with the term.

Exactly. Anyone doubting that we're getting anything short of the best stuff on Showgirl or even better (possibly some 1989 crumbs too) when she clearly wants to shift the public's perception of the album, is being disingenuous and infected by that snark sub mindset.

The new tracks are separated as DISC 2 on AM. TTPD Anthology should be edited the same way for aesthetic and clarity sake.

It's clearly not just a typical sad song... it comes from a place of healing where she warns the ex's future partner. And with a supposed banger instrumental it'll definitely hit.

Also 4 songs might not seem like much, but that's literally a third of the standard. If it's great stuff, miss Showgirl will 100% get retrospective praise sooner than later... and the couple of true duds (it's not half or 90% of the album like SOME of you think sawry) will be forgotten. She always wins indeed.

She locked them in the basement and said "give me 4 Ophelias or your entire families go missing".

Considering I like 10/12 tracks on Showgirl and she wouldn't revisit this with 4 duds, I'm sure the Encore will elevate the album greatly for me.

I think there'll be more than 4 deluxe tracks. All of this suddenly feels much more ambitious. Counting on another double album honestly.

I don't think I've been this intrigued by new Taylor music since like folklore. Because every album since, I could sort of guess the sound and themes. But doing THIS for a Showgirl deluxe has me shivering. Swiftie sleeper cell activated. And it's this Friday!!!

Even when we knew for a fact that it'd be a Showgirl deluxe thing, she still managed to completely rattle us with a 180 in the aesthetics, title + it being a surprise lead single instead of waiting til the full album drop to hear new music. She's God.

the only tracks I TRULY don't care for are eldest daughter and title. 1-4 and Ruin are actual classics to me while the others are cute bops in their own right! So 10/12 ain't bad at all. A bulletproof deluxe could greatly elevate it for me

I'm sooo glad I waited to buy this on vinyl. Now the deluxe will look so cute in my collection
