Nice thesis statement yourself. I think it was a nice 4 track closer for things a year out that won't make sense down the line, and a chance to add more depth of lyrical prowess to an album that focused on Max Martin music math. Definitely geared for a Grammys reminder, but also help me enjoy the album more as ED and Cancelled are still duds for me.

Pair that with the weirdly feral response from critics and non-fans over everything this woman has done for a whole year, and it does feel like we're being dunked on in our little corner of the internet with nonsensical claims. I'm super confused on these publications ranking her deluxe. 1) when's the last time a deluxe was ranked and considered for any pop act? 2) how are they justifying ranking the deluxe lower than the base album? I'm so confused on how detached their takes are from my own. These songs are quite good (at least better than what we've gotten from Ari, Gaga, and Katy in the last year), and are being trashed across the board…

Wonder if the album as a whole got a significant boost from this, or if it's contained to the singles and new tracks.

I'm in love with all of it, I keep replaying and the next song that plays when the album is always a different Taylor song and wow she's forever going to be THAT artist for me. I might also be in Psychosis, but she's right; TLOAS is a feat of magnitudes. If these 4 songs were put at the start of the album I wonder how many people would listen through and have a new take on the album with some distance from their original expectations.

I love it, this girl is a cheese ball, and if you don't get that, it's not for you. Being joyous and owning your personality in all its facets isn't for everyone though, so each their own.

This makes so much sense for me — maybe it's the Gracie Abrams guy, it seems so weird for her to drag Joe after all the time that has passed. She's reflective, but I just think she said all she needed to about him on TTPD and YLM.

Part of its low ranking is people being unfamiliar, but her voice has also changed a lot since then. It's fun to imagine how things will sound now.
