yeah for many LWYMMD was too jarring and bombastic but I think it is now so inextricably part of the greater Swiftian lore that you cannot really hate on it at all lol. It's literally so iconic and unique in her discography. What a lead single!

Period!!! I would be lying if I didn't say I initially forced myself to like LWYMMD like swallowing a pill because we just got off the high of 1989 but I was trying to be a strong soldier in the midst of the entire cancelled/snake era (Looking back, oh how I missed that era when getting tickets for the concert was easy )

I appreciate going back to old albums and listening with new ears and finding songs that I first skipped to be some of my faves. When Rep first came out, my top played back-to-back were: GODaway car, DBM, IDSB, and KOMH but now I have a newfound appreciation for Gorgeous and Delicate (which is prob controversial cos IIRC it was a fan favourite)

That's one of my fav things to do too loool! I love listening back to songs I didnt really vibe with years later and just finding a newfound appreciation for them either because the writing revealed itself somehow later in my life where I can relate to something more or the melody finally connected or the songs' greater contribution to the Swiftian lore grew so much in time that it just became a necessity to appreciate it for what it is. Love when that happens lol! It's kinda like Ready for It? for me. LOTS of ppl adored that song when it came out but I remember being shockingly disappointed with it (not to mention I HATED the mv lol) but through the years my ears softened to it and now cuz of the Eras Tour i literally associate a whole new energy and aura to that song. It no longer sounds sloppy to me and instead sounds triumphant! This is why Taylor's catalog is so enjoyable as fans....it's so big that you can literally fall in and out of love with tons of different songs throughout your life and never not have at least7 albums worth of songs u absolutely ADORE lol

I listened to few tracks yesterday, her songs are just NOT for me (not bad but all 3 albums have same thing going on, even the song structure is almost same, garbage lyrics)

That would just be the 7th highest first day female album, of course one day a female album will gain 82M streams. But even if that is accomplished ba Olivia, the actual record is very safe at 313M, even compared with big male artists.

Never really listened to any Olivia album.

Only heard the singles, and only ever liked Driver's License and vampire. Deja vu was just ok and every other song is a chop for me.

EXACTLY YES about the lyrics revealing themselves to you later on in your life!! That's precisely how I felt with CLEAN . First I was like okay I like the beat and then later on when tragedy struck I was on my floor crying and realizing that she was a truthteller (like Katy said "Time is the ultimate truth teller" or something like that)

I also love because Taylor's catalogue is so big there are so many enthusiasts for even the most random of songs. Like you'll have the normal Cardigan and Cruel Summer defenders and then later on you'll stumble upon a Perfectly Good Heart lawyer in the wild . Like YES NIECE! I love that for you! Everyone gets to have their cake and eat it too !!!

Were you able to go to Eras Tour ? I wasn't able to secure tickets and I don't mean to sound pessimistic because this is such a negative thing but I really do regret not being able to go because I firmly believe it was a once-in-a-lifetime event that I will never get to experience ever and LORD knows when the litigation against Livenation/Ticketmaster will finish and if it will lead to legislation....prob another 10 years
