I have to admit I do cackle here and there when a gay friend group especially when its all caucasians and moderately skinny/athletic gets quote tweeted to death on twitter. Like ppl were saying where is the black disabled amputee hijabi Or that other friend group of shirtless guy with abs where someone quote tweeted something like 'do they kill you if you get fat'

I was LITERALLY having this realization this week and talking about it with my swiftie friend LOOL! Like I was so furious about the sheer tackiness of an MSG wedding party (especially when she has the budget for a Westport one..) but then I had to take a step back and realize none of this affects me and I have a bunch of more urgent things to care about

Lana is authentic and knows who she is. Katy is still trying to figure out who she is. And listen I feel for her, everyone is hating on her including her own fans whom I've seen drag her and tell her to retire. She is trying to come up with something to bring her back to her pre-Witness acclaim and nothing is sticking. On the other hand, Lana's genuineness is laudable and guarantees her success even if it isn't as big as other pop girls. Also, as much as I Love White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter, I am not surprised it isn't big and neither is Lana, I am sure. Her aim wasn't to secure a Billboard Accolade. But Katy is still trying to get that number 1 hit

I actually don't think the context matters at all. Because Whitney has passed away so please just let her rest. And she was constantly attacked and treated horrifically instead of with empathy and kindness in the face of her struggle with addiction. Actually if we are to talk about context in that same conversation she said that 'creators have a sense of responsibility and that influence carries obligations' so that should apply to her keeping her mouth shut and using a different less personal story to drive her point home...
