Thoughts on Señorita today?
I find it fascinating that it was the biggest success for both Shawn and Camila and they pretty much flopped with everything afterwards. Regardless it's probably Benny Blanco's best production and still goes off 7 years later.

How long had you been with you bf when you decided to open up your relationship?
While monogramy can be a challenge I don't believe in open relationships.

Are pop girls still relevant in 2026?
They don't give anything to care about. People would care. Look at influencers. Tens of thousands of people obsessively care about them and spend huge money on them. And these are ordinary people with no talent and often minimal resources. Pop girls don't do or say anything anymore so there is nothing to latch onto. When they do speak it's overly sanitized and reviewed by 5 PR people before they open their mouth.

Spotify: Tyla's A*POP 2.7 million 3rd day
First of all, she is not talented. Secondly, everyone rooting for her just has to switch to Zara. At least she knows how to play the game

Tyla says she is black
She is getting dragged in the responses.

The current "supportive" culture gives people an inflated sense of self
Basically yes. Just call a spade a spade

The current "supportive" culture gives people an inflated sense of self
But what about when a 4 keeps thinking she is entitled to 9s and 10s? It doesn't do favors to anyone.

The current "supportive" culture gives people an inflated sense of self
Often when someone who is just not very conventionally attractive or doesn't really fit the mold will post themselves online and ask about their appearance and they'll get a lot of responses from people being performatively supportive like "omg yes Queen you are stunning I'm jealous af" or something like that. Generally I can acknowledge it takes bravery to post yourself online like that, and I do think there's virtue in supporting people even if they don't fit "conventional attractive" metrics. But the problem is this is advice and support being given by random anonymous people online who have no stake in the outcome of this person now having a perception of themself that is likely to be shaken if they act under that perception in real life. If it's purely for personal satisfaction then it's fine, but for a lot of people their self-perception is something they're gonna act on or make their identity, and they aren't aware that the feedback they got essentially was a lie. If someone asks "does this outfit make me look fat" and it does, you saying "no" doesn't undo that, you've just now kinda robbed them of the choice to undo that by changing their aesthetic or outfit, if someone is concerned about how they look in an outfit it's because they're concerned with how people will view them, and people are still gonna view them that way, you've just essentially stepped in and kept this person from doing what they would have done to change how they're viewed. Obviously there are instances/contexts where it is more appropriate to lie than tell the truth, but a lot of people make basically EVERY instance/context into that when it isn't. This is his we end up with a lot of people who are subpar but have unreasonably high standards in what sort of romantic partner they are willing to accept.

Is the petal era too quiet?
The album comes out in 1 week but there are no magazine covers, interviews, appearances, performances, nothing. Very few teasers. I know she is touring but isn't this a mistake?

Confessions II debuts with 13M streams | 2nd day: 9M | 3rd day: 6.5M
Leaving the top 10 already on week 2 is very bad for a supposed pop legend. Hopefully the upcoming performance helps with these numbers
