I think she could make a truly unique sound if she had Jack co-produce with others. The Jack/Sounwave tracks from Midnights already have an extra umph to them & I Look in People's Windows, while musically simple, still has some special Patrick Berger magic to it that wouldn't be there if Jack did it on his own. Oh the places her music could go 

Under the assumption TS12 is a big pop record produced by Max… I have one specific song in mind that would make the perfect lead single. It has everything that I want from her at the moment.
 

 

EVERYTHING about this song is saurrr perfect. It's ethereal with an amazing build up until the second chorus, the vocal distortion, the stacked harmonies, the choir in the bridge. It's one of those pop songs that instantly give you a feeling of nostalgia… and most importantly the melodies/hook are amazing. It's one of my favorite pop songs released this decade, and tbh, it already reminds me of Taylor a bit. I still don't understand how this song wasn't a hit on pop radio - regardless of Rina not being a mainstream act - it's just that perfect. But a Taylor song like this would certainly smash.

Honestly fair enough, i also want to see her work with other producers. And talking of fan favorites, here's another one: Guilty as Sin. Jack produced it and people can't get enough of it, just proving my point even more 

 

It's completely fine to want Taylor to work with other people but the disrespect Jack gets will always make me cringe, it's just irrational and weirdly mean spirited a lot of the time.

I see so many delusions on this page..  it reminds me of how I once was being delusional and expected that Red the song would be an epic, sad piece with sweeping cellos, just based on the title and what she said about it on that Google Hangout premiere.....and it turned out it was just a country pop song. (it slayed though )

I would love to see every Taylor album be a 16 track pop album with a 10 track accompanying album with Folklore's sound mixed with the parent album's sound.

I'm gonna need you to explain to me why you think she would devour because there's not much that indicates she could do that:

- "sensual": the furthest she went in terms of sensuality is Dress/Guilty As Sin and that's still extremely prude, what makes you think she could go Erotica? 

- "political": if there's one thing Taylor is never going to devour, it's a political song, let alone a political album. There's really not a single political song in her catalogue that is even somewhat decent except for Miss Americana. The rest goes as horrible as Only The Young. Taylor is way too recluse from society (and has never experienced what it's like to be in the middle class), so she has no perspectives of the world for normal people. This will at best sound shallow (like Miss Americana), and at worst sound completely out of touch (like YNTCD). 

- "dance": the only dance track we have heard coming from her is This Is What You Came For. Which... is not a very good indication that dance is a genre in which she could blossom. 

Now why is this base serving better taste in Madonna music than it does in Taylor Swift music?
