The intro of The Fate of Ophelia sounds exactly like the intro of Sia's She Wolf (Falling to Pieces) so when I pressed play for the first time, I thought I was deceived.

I've always found it funny how Taylor fabricated a story about how her melodies started coming to her as pop melodies during the RED era to justify the Max Martin/Shellback collabs cuz Speak Now is probably Taylor at her best in terms of pop melodies. The Story of Us would go ******* crazy had it been produced by Shellback. Mine also washes Love Story regarding the composition but no one is ready for that convo yet. Back to December should also have been much bigger than it was. Now that I think about it, Peak Now probably has her best singles run and ironically enough it's one of her least commercially successful ones in that department.

I just think they'd make a big deal out of having their 1st 1B streamed song. Anyhow, even if it's surpassed the tally, the stats are still pretty embarrassing. Spotify has like 1K songs with at least 1B streams.

I think it does around ~100k a day (being generous cuz the platform is dead asf now) so probably not.

Shape of You was the most streamed song on Apple Music with 930m streams as of May 2023. Considering it's still #1, it's safe to assume that the most streamed song on the platform doesn't even have a billion streams yet. Kinda embarrassing for them, tbh.

I don't know if I want a lead from Taylor before we get to hear the album cuz since ME!th she's had 2 hits (cardigan and Anti-Hero) and 2 misses (willow and Fortnight). But if she follows the pattern, the next one will be a smash!
