A large reason for all of this is that the music industry (especially these days) is heavily for nepos to partake in. It is likely that there is a larger number of white people with wealthy and well-connected families. So naturally, they dominate the music industry. Gracie, Taylor, Chappell, Sabrina were/are all backed and funded by their wealthy families The current roster of black artists do not have families as well connected and rich. Algorithms have been known to prioritise white people too, and plus wealthy artists pay for the algorithms to push them (IIRC it came up during a TikTok trial that Taylor had paid for this too) The viral band Goose was found out for paying for boosts too.

I'm still disappointed that Chloe's music wasn't good enough I was excited for her debut, but it just wasn't enough and then I lost interest
