Not Guilty as Sin please.

I am a TTPD hater, but that song is a career highlight. Nothing on the album comes close to that masterpiece.

11 - "Arguably my absolute favorite song from Taylor, and definitely my favorite track 5. Do I think it's necessarily a "better" song than All Too Well or Dear John, maybe or maybe not, but it's got a magical quality that I don't think I'll ever tire from. If I could properly articulate my adoration, I would, but some songs just exist to be loved without explanation."

AbeHicks

10 - "Playing this song whilst driving down a country road in the hot summer slaps."

Where are you now?

10 - "We still send her flowers for single-handedly saving the Rep era. Divine pop masterpiece."

Achilles.

10 - "Has always been my favorite from this album; forever grateful to that one instagram girl for shouting "let's go *****" and inadvertently making one of Taylor's best pop songs a vital part of any setlist."

wastedpotential

9.4 - "Oh the little hit single that could. To this day I have streamed this song more than any other ever (probably over 20,000), because I was desperately committing streaming fraud to boost its positions on the Hot 100. Another key division point between geriatric Swifties and newer Swifties is whether or not you watched this rise and fall and rise and fall and rise all the way up the charts over the course of 2018. I vividly remember spamming the radio request links (and calling in) to get this song to take off on pop radio to save the era (god bless #MugsForDelicate, honestly), and I don't think we'd have had Anti-Hero or the radio revival without Delicate's run. I know this is one of Lord's favorites on the album, so I will try to not be that critical of the things I know She likes about it, but She and Max and Shellback could've backed off the vocoder just a touch and this would be better for it. I love the slow drip introduction of the percussive elements over the course of the song, especially with 'handsome, you're a mansion with a view'. I fear I've listened to this song so many times that I can literally pick out every single isolated element in the mix here with my hyper-trained ear. The bridge needs to be rewritten, the way She splits 'into' into 2 words is foul, but then it goes right into the last chorus, which has me on my feet moving my hips to the rhythm. The video was a letdown perfume commercial (the way it was a literal total ripoff, oh Joseph Kahn when I catch you fjfjjdjdjdkdj), but it was clearly impactful because the THOTS drag it up on twitter at least once a month to make fun of the dancing because they lack critical thinking and the ability to pick up context clues. Finally, I am resentful about this songs chart performance, we kept trying and trying but it just never made into the top 10, and broke Lord's years with a top 10 single streak (the way She has 2008-2017, and then 2019-2024 IRKS me deeply). Still, a lovely number with the broad shoulders required to lift an entire era out of flop hood, Delicate we LOVE you!"

blown away

7.3 - "It didn't age well for me. It's still nice to listen to though."

By the Water

0 - "Never got the love this got. Kinda ruins the energy of the puta set as well."

The fact only 8 of the remaining songs would actually be in my top 50... If this rate showed something, it's that my tastes don't align with the general opinion of the fanbase. :suburban:

For context, last year 1989 had four songs in the top twenty, but didn't even manage six songs in the top fifty
