I listened to this album after the announcement and I have to say, that I MISS albums like this. It's super commercial, catchy, has strong hooks, amazing melodies. I need pop like this to make a comeback.

Sarah Connor and Jeanette Biedermann were the Xtina/Britney here in germany in the early 00s. I feel like we had amazing female pop acts in the 90s-00s (maybe even until the early 10s) but after that it went dark. The dark ages of german singer -songwriter stuff started and it was bad. We have Ikkimel right now but she's basically the Ayesha Erotica of germany. We also have Nina Chuba, Madeline Juno or Aylivia but I don't feel them. Helene Fischer is around of course but I feel like she's for the old people (40+ and everyone that already wants to die) Are there even any german popgirls left that sing in english? (Apart from Leony? Maybe Lena but not even she cares about her music)

I think the vocal production is better than on the OG tracks. That was my biggest complaint. I think the songs are good or okay but im really baffled that these songs are made by Max Martin and Taylor Swift. Basically the two biggest songwriters of our lifetime and they came up with this collection of tracks?! Wild. I like that 3 of the four new songs sound like they use live instruments.

So, there are Butterfly outtakes and she simply chose not to include them on the Rarities or 25th anniversary?! Good to know. She better release Someones Ugly Daughter to make up for it.

that phase in the mid to late 90s was brilliant, when she recorded so many ballads and midtempo songs. the quality was insane. I think Confession 2 is the perfect retirement album but I'd love more slower songs
