You can't listen to one of these female legends ever again: who do you choose?
I adore her, Butterfly is a stone-cold classic and The Roof is one of my favorite song of all time. That said I'd give anything to never hear AIWFCIY ever again.

Taylor Swift
Honestly, with all the recent talks about songwriting, I can't help but imagine TS13 will propose something really different and elevated from what we can expect from her. It really sounds like she's being so geeky about songwriting (I mean, more than usual) so it kinda feels like she's getting super excited about something. The last time we heard her like this was for folklore which was a commitment to a new approach to her songwriting. Or maybe I'm just creating a fantasy in my head. But I like this fantasy so I'm gonna continue believing it. We desperately need a 180 after Showgirl.

I was about to make a comment about it but didn't. But yes it sounds absolutely absurd to me too. Like it's just normal hair and not a wig.

Fearless (2008) above any female album released in the streaming era (2014-). Surprised?
-
Taylor Swift
Honestly, atp I'd be beyond surprised if we didn't get Debut TV on the 20th year anniversary of her career/the album. 2027 however? Way more likely to be empty.

Taylor Swift
And that's that on that! Let me just say that seeing Dear John at a merely #10 is frightening but just a testament to the second best album in her discography. Speak Now supremacy

And on the topic of Speak Now, this is one of my favorite Eras Tour mashup. I remember coke-ranting to @hoax after that performance that I was sure she was somehow still lowkey in love with Joe. Oh how I couldn't be more wrong.

I'm really in a Speak Now mood today. You can thank @Taylor fanboy for the thread about the best 3rd albums. Been binging this masterpiece all day (along with the Phoebe album). For some reason, the tour performance of Back To December was the first time I ever encountered a live performance of Taylor. That's so random. But thank god.

Glee truly snapped with this one. Props to them for turning this genuinely joyful song turn into a breakup.
- RS Brazil / the biggest free concerts of all time - #5 Gaga, #6 Shaki, #9 Madonna

Phoebe Bridgers - 'Lost Weekend'
I'm merely at the beginning of track 4 and I am already absolutely blown away by the production work on the album. It sounds exquisite. The lyrics feel extremely vague though, most of the time I barely even get the sentiment of the song. So 1) thank you for the big post above where she explains the songs, and 2) please Phoebe make your lyrics just the tiniest bit more clear. EDIT: just finished the album. It definitely is one of the very best albums released this year. Randomly the song that got me the most is As Above. Absolutely amazing.
- Do you foresee O.Rod winning any Grammys, with yspsfagsil?

Ella dominating both US and global charts. Why?
Belgium Italy Poland Sweden France UK The Netherlands Germany Australia Selling out massive arenas and stadiums, often multiple times, in all these non-spanish speaking countries on his latest tour. So basically Europe and Oceania. Then he is of course massively popular in Latin America. And he just did the Superbowl HS so not only does North America know him very well, but the WW exposure it gave him is absolutely massive. Meanwhile Ella has a successful song in 4 countries. Let's not. They are not even remotely on the same level of global success.

And if we really wanna go there, the teenage/very early adult girls writing about their own lives are now being taken seriously, which was definitely not the case back then.

Taylor stuns with new haircut while out in London
She cut her hair but calling this a "new" haircut is pushing it She looks great though.
