Aaliyah's self-titled masterpiece album turns 25 years old today
each track here is just nonstop back to back punches. also since its always overlooked I Can Be is a hidden r&b/rock gem. this album and one in a million stay in a forever tie for my favorite just depends on the moment.

Revisiting Adele's '30'
19 and 21 remain her best but 25 and 30 are about even. the label wanted To Be Loved as a single but she stopped that. she also purposely held back on the singles cause she didn't want another bombastic Hello. she definitely got the stripped back lowkey era she wanted, but i hope she doesn't hold back next time.

Paul McCartney says that Taylor Swift’s level of fame is parallel to The Beatles
mind you michael bought the beatles catalog and this man was bitter till MJ left us. anyway, michael is and will always be the single most biggest person in music history. his craft and influence is too much and a 60s white rock band "selling" more will never take that away especially considering them on individual levels NEVER reached his celebrity status.
