Was Charmbracelet that bad or was it bad because it came after Butterfly?
I like some songs off Charmbracelet but I don't think the production is that great. TEOM was much better in the production department and the songwriting department overall in my opinion. I feel the same way about Butterfly. Both the 90s r&b / hip hop and the Motown inspired sounds she took on for those albums worked really well I think. I think Charmbracelet's production is very simple and I like the Motown sample and electronic sounds she took on for TEOM more. I think that sound really suits her as she create similar soundscapes for a lot of songs off MIAM: TEC, Caution and Here For It All.

Ariana Grande - 'petal'
I honestly really like this, it's one of her most consistent releases for me. although I'd say a lot of it's doesn't wow me, I think it's a got a lot of really nice and warm songs. and the cover really suits it I think too. I didn't like hate that I made you love me that much, so I'm glad that's my least favourite track other than the interlude and possibly nowhere, nobody. stay is so pretty and warm, big feelings, like I do and bad thing are fun, and I really like freak and petal sonically. the album reminds me a lot of the sound of thank u, next and it's nice to see her go back to that.

Favorite song on petal by Ariana Grande?
stay is possibly my favourite - it falls into that warmiana category that I think she sells well - breathin', supernatural, warm itself etc.

Tyla - 'A*POP'
Sometimes I think when pop fans say "[insert artist]'s team is clueless! they don't know what they're doing!" I think it's a little dramatic (see Tinashe or Shakira) but here i think it is so accurate that it's actually such an understatement. That music video is rotten. I do like her music but that's really disappointed me. Outside of that video, I think she should show her personality more online and interact more on social media. people really like to see someone's personality and it can help sell the music (Doja Cat comes to mind).

What a mess I highly doubt that video is not AI.
- Said something nice about the Spice Girls Solo careers!

Shakira: LMYNL World Tour
I love how she literally said on her Instagram story "thank you to my UK fans for putting Dai Dai in the run for the UK #1 this week… I can't wait to see you all spend money on flights to Madrid and accommodation and on the concert ticket(s) just for me!"

HDD Final: Olivia #1 80k, Morgan #2 77k, Charil #3 74k, Strokes #15 30k, Tyla #43 17k
Charli felt inspired and made an album with two of her friends in Paris and decided to put it out - and it's her second album this year. And she's never been a super commercial artist. The numbers considering that are very good.

Tyla - 'A*POP'
they did say uk dates were in the works. to me touring is essential for every new artist especially nowadays. if she doesn't tour that would be so dumb. theatres, please. I listened to the album and it's got some good songs but mostly sounds boring to me and if I was her I would have added in much more pop as it's very r&b based and mid tempo - the title is A-POP. I would have mixed in brighter sounds and more hooks. as for the promo for the album, I don't think it was too strong, and I also think she could interact more online and show her followers her personality more because it really helps people connect to an artist.

Miley Cyrus teases new album
"Flowers" ... And Something Beautiful was critically acclaimed. In my opinion her last three albums were all good and much better than her previous work so I'm perched... I think she should perform her music more though. I understand that she's not keen to tour, but even a residency of a few shows in LA, Las Vegas or Paris would be something (beautiful).

Did Shania Twain fall off?
I actually saw her earlier this month when she did a one off show in Ireland in a stadium and she sold most of it out (sold about 20k tickets). I think in the last few weeks she's done some tiny shows and the Harry Styles London shows and this Irish show. I saw the show as I like some of her hits, but I kinda have to be in the mood for country overall I think. alas on the point of the thread: her 1995 album The Woman In Me had hits in the US and Canada, the Come On Over era had massive appeal and was a massive hit worldwide, and then Up did pretty good, and then she sadly had to take a break because of her health. That probably affected how commercially successful her music was, and it's great that she's able to make music still. Also country isn't everyone's cup of tea especially on ATRL so that's another factor.
