Can you see Taylor flopping in the future or would she only have underperformances at worst? I personally can't see her ever truly flopping but what's your opinions about it? Discuss.

What is most likely to happen is she slowly starts having diminishing success a little like Carrie Underwood.  To truly flop, you need to perform far below expectations.  So if slowly over time expectations are lowered, then she will not flop. 

She’s not gonna flop, she’ll just fade. However she will still be a touring act. Which is similar to other legacy/touring acts. At this point in her career it doesn’t really matter. 

She won’t be able to sustain this level of cultural dominance forever… but she’s basically guaranteed to sell albums and produce hits for at least the next decade.

 

Taylor’s base is simply too big for her flop.

If she sticks to her formula, I can't see it anytime soon. It has  worked for nearly two decades, it'll continue to work.

If she releases her Erotica or American Lyfe yes, otherwise No!

she got away with dating a literal **** so a controversy killing her career is out of the question. Her cult fanbase will continue to support whatever she puts out and make excuses for her actions so it’s impossible for her to flop unless her fanbase finally grows up. but she’s appealed to tiktok’s gen-z and little kids now so her career will continue to be intact for the next decade at least. I don’t see her getting any bigger though.

Taylor Swift will always scan at least 2x platinum in the US with her future albums for the rest of her life. She will never truly flop.

No, I don’t think so. At this point, she’s secured the kind of fanbase and reputation that will keep her successful as long as she cares to release. At the bare minimum, she’ll have a successful album campaign in the US and a few other countries even decades from now, still be able to tour if she feels like it, probably have solid first weeks and always debut at #1. She’s past the period where I think there’s any realistic chance for her to have releases that aren’t a hit in some way. Her success from here will naturally fade, but probably slower than people expect, too - I mean, a lot of us were convinced that Lover was the start of that, and look how that turned out. At the point where her releases make little noise, it won’t matter anymore, if that point ever really comes.

 

Clearly some people would love if it happened, but that’s their problem!

I hope so for her sake and safety. 
 

Her celebrity right now is frightening and she honestly needs less fans at this point.

Well i mean eventually she will stop selling and succeeding in the all encompassing way she is right now. She's in the middle of a career peak. As big as artists get, that doesn't last forever. I don't think there'll ever be a time that she stops succeeding in every metric, there are just some artists that will continue to find some form of success in some lane of the job and she'll be one of them. She'll be able to successfully tour forever, have some hits for another good long while, and her albums will probably perform similarly to other legacy acts once she enters that phase of her career where she can snatch a #1 album just maybe not across multiple weeks.

 

But she won't be like she is right now forever and she knows that, that's why she's going as hard as she is at the moment. Every artist has a natural decline. When hers will begin remains to be unseen but it won't be until the tour and re-records are over at the very least. Honestly, it will extend beyond that. Her next proper era will also be massive.

No. She will eventually sell much less albums and won't have hits. But she will forever be a touring force, just like the Queen herself, Madonna. 

Or just like the male rock artists or Beyoncé. Not commercially huge anymore, average sales, but still huge touring forces. 

5 years from now people will be over the Taylor Swift spell and she will start her slow decline.

Yeah, that's what i think too. Her fanbase is massive and after the Midnights/Eras Tour phenomenon i don't see them leaving her any time soon. They'll (we'll) guarantee her big album sales and solid streaming numbers for a long time to come.

She'll only really start to slow down/fade by the turn of the 2030s because hear me out

 

2024: Rep and Debut TV, end of Eras tour

2025: TS11 (no doubt about it) 

2026: possible extension of that era + tour

2027: TS11 tour?

2028: her possible Searchlight film project?

2029: anything really, could be a break, could be not. Potential TS12?

 

After the Eras I'm predicting she'll take a break for 6 months then barrage us with TS11 hype by August 2025, it makes so much sense. She's never letting her foot off the public's neck she'll stay relevant throughout this decade. Knowing how hard she works I know for a fact that she already has a vision for all her albums including TS13.

I wonder how that could be, i don't see what else could happen beyond streaming.
