Its definitely a little too wordy, but even if you don't understand a single word she's saying the melody of the chorus is pop crack. This is completely anecdotal, but yesterday it played on the radio during my uber ride home, and the middle-aged man driving me was humming the tune.

I feel like the long-term solution is for companies to start making a distinction between impressions and views. The tiktok/reels/new youtube definition (watching something for 2 seconds than scrolling) feels like an impression, whereas "views" should refer to how many people actually watched it.

This is the correct answer. The industry used to be able to control it so most of what we heard on the radio was the new music they want us to consume. But now I can open TikTok and randomly get hooked on a song from 2001 because people are using it on edits of my favorite movie etc.

Taylor promoted his album all over her story in 2020, its the only reason I bothered checking him out during the pandemic, so this idea that she leeched off a much smaller artist with no actual mainstream success is laughable. yes, but its one of the only songs thats consistent across all 3 of Apple Spotify and Amazon. Most of the songs above her on each platform are non-existent on one or both of the other 2 platforms , if that makes sense.
