I still have PTSD from this era. I think underperformance is the best term to use… but at the time given the media circus around the album it most certainly felt like a flop. The first week tally in comparison to Born This Way was a painful pill to swallow… even if she did something like 400-600K I think she would have been in the clear and the press would have been kinder post-launch. However, it really is an album that ended up having the last laugh and brought us so many amazing performances, looks and visuals. I'm glad it's seen as more of a cult-classic rather than a Bionic or a Witness.

Rain On Me went number one in like a dozen countries has a billions streams and won a Grammy. I'd hardly say it's a failure in that sense.

I don't really know where to go from here as a Taylor fan. I love the woman but I can't help but feel like I don't recognise her anymore… and that feeling has been building now for about a year. You've got to take a step back, assess and just accept the fact this man getting an invitation in the first place is appalling… pinning this entirely on Taylor feels unfair as we don't know all the details but it's completely legitimate to feel she needs to absorb some of the blame… this is the wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. They (obviously) gave the final sign off. This detail should have been picked up by someone on their team… it's either a horrendous oversight at best or worse… both parties knew and invited him anyways. This is further proof Taylor and Travis (and frankly most of our out-of-touch multimillionaire faves) are happy to stand shoulder to shoulder with terrible people if they fall in the same tax bracket. Oh well - it's disheartening all around.

I mean. All we can do is speculate? Either she was busy or maybe she genuinely doesn't care for Taylor (or perhaps someone else that was also in attendance). It's inconsequential either way… and even if she doesn't like her that doesn't mean Jack and Taylor can't be friends. Sidebar - I do always feel bad that Jack and Margaret's wedding got hijacked by Swifties in the worst possible way… And to be honest the most shocking omission was Blake… Taylor is literally godmother to her children.

Oh dear… tbh out of all the labels… Interscope seems to have the best track record when it comes to our girls (both big and small)… I know Republicans had an impressive lineup too but let's not forget how badly they f*cked over Kim Petras But RCA? Jesus f*cking Christ that's arguably the worst one she could have picked. Epic don't really have any big hitters in the MPG space so she could have used that to her advantage but oh well… let's hope this works out for her.

I think it's great Taylor and Travis donated that money. I would have loved to see some LGBTQ charities and charities that focussed on delivering food aid to children in Sudan, Gaza and/or Lebanon given the state of the world but I appreciate she's diverted back to appearing as neutral as possible on issues that are too controversial - and maybe that's for her own safety so I won't judge. They have a shared net worth of somewhere upwards of $2.10billion… that's pretty much a drop in the ocean for her … and people would have been employed to take care of the venue regardless of where it took place. I'm just speaking to on the general feeling most of people to the super wealthy right now… hence why there's a lot of negativity online.

Taylor Swift is allowed to get married and enjoy her wedding day but I do understand the overall sentiment against the super, super wealthy right now is very sour - and to be honest… rightfully so, billionaires are largely the reason why living standards are so poor. Wealth inequality is at an all time high and people are kind of exhausted by having all this wealth shoved in their faces (hence why I think keeping things super private was the best move). It's the same reason why the Met Galla was received with such distain this year… it all just feels very "Hunger Games Capital-coded", it's the super elite/wealthy all in one place enjoying an occasion that is only accessible if you're filthy rich. I do think Taylor's decision to invite celebrities she seemingly barely knows (Graham Norton for example) feels a bit odd? I hope Taylor had a beautiful day and I'm excited to see what the dress looks like… but I do also understand this fever pitch anger against the uber wealthy is completely justified and frankly… this applies to most of our faves, not just Taylor.

Oh how I would have loved to be a fly on the wall in those board rooms when 13 Management and Republic settled on METH! for the lead single. Whilst my favourite lead from her is probably Anti-Hero or Fortnight I still think Look is by far the gaggiest and most impactful.
