Never. Sales get lower and lower. I Wonder how some artists aren't  in the #30 range anymore. They Can't Tell me they Can't manage to sell 1K in the First week.

I think that if she keeps her sound too repetitive (as seen with Jack Antonoff producing almost everything from her), she might risk boring her fans. This could potentially occur in the  next five years, but she really needs to disappoint her fans, like what she did with ME!. Yes, she might flop, but if she is smart enough, it is not going to happen within the next 5 years. I believe she heavily depends on maintaining a youthful image and creating music for a younger audience, so her age might pose a challenge for a big proportion of her followers (It's unfortunate, but that's how the music industry operates). I will love her no matter what, she is a really good writer.                       

 

Tbh I’m inclined to say no just because she’s so massive, but we don’t know what the musical landscape will look like in about 20 years and what Gen Alpha is gonna prefer in music. I could see Taylor slowly fading into a legacy and touring act, especially once she hits 50

I mean, I don't see her outright flopping. She'll slow down gradually, but never have a complete bomb. 

 

But tbh, seeing how much she has already achieved, I don't think it would matter in the slightest. She's already had one of the absolute most successful career of all time. One of the biggest seller and touring artist, and one of the most acclaimed and influential artist of her generation. Everything she does moving forward is just a bonus, the cherry on top.

Taylor has successfully transitioned to appeal to both gen Z (what all her peers with the exception of Rih to a lesser extent failed to achieve) and now even gen Alpha. A following of that size and mass appeal isn't going anywhere anytime soon

At some points her sales & streams will slow down.

Her discography is just way too strong. Every album has insane replay value. She’s not the type of artist who will disappear like others. Once she stops making music people will flock and listen to her records because nobody else puts out consistent quality like her. Hate her or love her, that’s the truth.

OT: she’ll only truly flop if she chooses to, such as actively avoiding commercial success or releasing music that’s polarizing or unpalatable.

i would argue that Lover was her "flop" era.

 

her first time scanning under 1 mil, no hit single, etc etc

 

she was able to pivot and fix it and thankfully we got justice for cruel summer, but that era rly hurt her critically until the pandemic albums course-corrected her
