  1. The radio mattering when trying to quantify the country's listening has nothing to do with me liking Taylor Swift so I don't really see what you're trying to imply here.
  2. I used to think this too, but eventually you get a little older and understand why the radio audience needs to count. Most adults casually tap to "modern" music via radio/curation.
  3. Phoebe is releasing soon and if she sneaks into AOTY i think she cuts a huge hole in Olivia's voter base. But her album isnt out yet and we have no idea how it'll be recieved, so worrying now is moot.
  4. Taylor promoted his album all over her story in 2020, its the only reason I bothered checking him out during the pandemic, so this idea that she leeched off a much smaller artist with no actual mainstream success is laughable. Yes, Olivia/Conan did a couple cute promo tiktoks for Fearless TV, but pretending like Taylor Swift, "used" them of all people for promotion is ridiculous. You are very delusional if you think Taylor benefitted more from Olivia/Conan being "swifties" than they did by being branded as Swifties and getting posted on her socials The idea that a conan gray tiktok is more valuable than a Taylor Swift endorsement is just comical. I know im just one person, but my entire timeline was streaming drivers license/kid krow BECAUSE THEY WERE BRANDED AS SWIFTIE A lot of you really do get mad over delusions
  5. yes, but its one of the only songs thats consistent across all 3 of Apple Spotify and Amazon. Most of the songs above her on each platform are non-existent on one or both of the other 2 platforms , if that makes sense.
  6. The older half of gen alpha will be nostalgic for Short n Sweet
  7. LMAOOOO weren't these supposed to ship next week? This is gonna cause such a funny mess here all week
  8. Showgirl has 12 songs and is 3 debuts above "the red wall"
  9. It'll be close, and it's not guaranteed. You have to remember Billie had a smaller partial day, but also had 3 less tracks. If her average streams per track follow the same ratio of "partial day to 1st day" streams as Billie's did (x15 multiplier) that puts Olivia right at a 67m debut.
  10. I don't watch the show nor do I think Hudson/Connor are that hot, but there is clearly a group of people out there frothing at the mouth at any opportunity to take them down, and it's very bizarre.
  11. This feels like a massive setup on day 6. Slow down lol
  12. It's Billie. Olivia strikes a lot of nerves amongst swifties, but Taylor still stomps in every regard, so its "punching down" if swifties go after Olivia. SOUR was massive, but she's still very-far behind Taylor commercially and critically. Billie actually has acclaim and lucrative awards that Taylor has been chasing and can't get (Oscar, SOTY x2, ROTY x2, etc.) Billie is the megastar who actually makes Taylor sweat in a tangible way
  13. From my experience, the inverse seems to be true. Katy fans seem to like her for her campiness, hits, and aesthetics, but normally don't consider her to be a vocalist. Whereas the navy seem to have convinced themselves Rihanna can actually sing due to the vma medley, VSFS, and BBMA perormance, when the truth is that girl would not make it past round 2 on any show (and before you deflect, neither would Taylor and i literally don't care)
  14. This is not a "Random" performance though, its 1 of 3 good vocal performances she has across her whole career. She actually got torn to shreds for how bad she sounded during the hiphop set during that same exact VMA ceremony (I was in the trenches defending her in 2016). This performance is excellent and washes Katy, but Katy is a more consistent vocalist across the board imo.
  15. Me: your examples of rihanna "doing choreo" are bad. You: Taylor Swift fan just wants to be included! I don't think you understand how public discussion forums work. At the end of the day, Taylor keeps building herself an impeccable touring reputation, whereas Rihanna's touring rep got so bad after loud/diamonds that she was literally performing to empty stadiums and non-sold-out arenas during the Anti era. Taylor is off topic, but you literally deflected to her firs
  16. no argument, just fart humor and da islyand bad gyal $avage vibes, right? Oh navy, never change
  17. literacy crisis is so real. Liking someones catalogue of hits they had 0 part in creating, and stanning them personally as "an artist" are completely different things. If anything, I think actually stanning THEM when you know they didn't even make the work you enjoy is.... slow, to say the least! It's amazing to see you typing away at all these messages you aren't reading though! Do you have ESP? it's impressive.
  18. rihanna fan being incapable of reading 5 sentences is very on-brand sorry 5 lines of text scared you off BTW, If you "don't care what im typing" why reply TWICE? Even now, you're still typing... are you sitting there typing how much you aren't reading my posts for the 3rd time?
  19. The Grammys are an american award show
  20. funny funny how rihanna herself, her music, and her fans all have such proud low-brow energy anyone who stans her doesn't care about craft or talent, they stan image/attitude and should just own it!
  21. i knew you were going to deflect to taylor before you even started typing I stan Taylor as a musician. I never claimed she was a dancer, whereas YOU were trying to say "Rihanna does choreo actually!" with those terrible clips as your evidence. If i tried claiming Taylor was a good dancer it would be fair game. Even if I did try to claim Taylor was a good performer, the eras tour washes everything Rihanna has ever done. I saw Rihanna live twice and she was late both times and clearly just wanted to get it over with. Neither are great vocalists but Taylor makes up for it in effort & professionalism, plus the fact that you know she's singing/playing songs she actually created. Rihanna jumps around on stage "with swag" for 20 minutes to a playlist of hits she didn't even touch. I was navy for years, don't bother replying with the 2 good performances of LOTB and Diamonds. I've seen them 100 times and am well-aware they're the best ammo her fans have.
  22. right, but your personal disdain towards male artist you deem mediocre still doesn't change that luther was the only nominee that was both acclaimed AND organically popular with the gp. at a certain point you need to realize that calling rappers you were never going to listen to in the first place as a female-pop stan all mediocre is silly/corny. Of course "Mr.Mayhem" doesn't like kendrick lamar... duh!
  23. These 2 weak clips being the best you could pull from her entire 10 year run says a lot.
  24. Neither would make it onto their local choir, but Katy is a much better technical singer and vocalist. I used to stan rihanna in her prime and love her catalogue, but she was literally an influencer doll/puppet with perfect tone. She was never a singer, writer, dancer, or musician for that matter.
  25. this is such a funny post to me because luther was the clear favorite from day 1 if you asked a random American.
