Ok you kinda spilled the tea here. I love the two songs' melody but your description is spot on. OOPS.
Was re-reading Grandfather's lyrics the other day and sheezus, the wording, especially of the second half of the chorus, remains abysmal. It's a miracle the melody and her singing elevates the whole song.
Let the Light In is so lovely, but you're right, TNC and Buddy's Ren are both better.
