I link Selena to Bey most as a performer - and we know Bey was a fan given the Houston connection and that time she ran into her at a mall. Career timelines and cultural differences make these types of comparisons impossible but still fun to think about

Yuri would be the closest aesthetically. My parallels are that Thalia is closest to Britney, Gloria Trevi to Gaga, and Selena to Beyoncé. Obviously there's no perfect comparisons but as far as overall ethos, these fit the best in my head

Even if she didn't record demos for every single one, she was working on other stuff not just in that journal so she had to have still recorded minimum 75+ demos for the era. Less than DL1 and FN but let's not act like she didn't do a good bit of demo exploring like she has been doing with DL4
