i'm fairly certain at this point that her career is an experiment, with the chief mission to ascertain how lacklustre music one can put out (and how little time one can invest in the making of it) while still having one's fanatic stans buy every single version of it and not ever have them question the quality of what they're buying i feel like maybe with this encore she finally managed to cross the line?

Is this like close to entirely self-produced or something? The production sounds very skeletal and underwhelming. Love Ariana, but this didn't click with me at all.

Wink Wink is a career highlight. Camera and I'm Afraid are great as well. However: an entire project with the same stagnant delivery works on some tracks but left me bored on most others. Maybe it will click in the future, but currently the project as a whole doesn't intrigue me at all.
