MILEY - 'Bass Persuades'
Idk… I love Miley but this is the third album in a row from her that I just don't see me coming back to much. I'm glad she's making the music she wants to, that's most important, but it all falls flat to me. Every song is missing an interesting melody and catchy hook and that's not really made up for with amazing vocal or production moments. I also don't understand the recent trend of talking instead of singing in songs that so many people are doing. Especially Miley whose entire appeal is her incredible voice and ability to really sing. This could all be made a little better if she had someone in her circle saying "I think you could make this hook a bit more interesting".

Hayley Williams supports Macklemore and all of Ed's opening acts at her tour
This feels good. Finally we're on the right side of history again or at least getting there.

Did ADÉLA swipe Doja's nachos with "Nicole Kidman"?
Every time the start of Nicole Kidman plays on auto play, I think it's a song off Scarlet. Definitely a similar vibe

2020s: your album of the decade so far?
I think I have to say Preacher's Daughter— Willoughby

MILEY - 'Bass Persuades'
WTF. I thought for sure she'd be doing the Super Bowl! This *****
-
Slayyyter - "CRANK 2"
This one is grittier and feels more rock, which is likely indicative of the direction she'll head from here. It's growing on me but feels a bit all over the place at first

MILEY - "Bass Persuades"
How is she not being booked for any live slots? I'm hoping this new label understands her best asset is her live performance. SNL, Fallon, Triple J.

Do you think Miley is doing Super Bowl HT show?
She's mentioned wanting to do one big performance where she performs something from each era and because this new era of her dropping her last name is here, it would be a good way to segue into MILEY. And she could come out as Hannah doing BOBW and then end with something off her new record since the halftime exposure basically guarantees a hit. ++ she could do a Dolly tribute and the GP would love that. It would be healing and it would be meaningful for Miley. do we think she's doing it?

Celine Dion spotted dancing for fans in Paris
She's so agile my queen. Long live Céline

MILEY - "Bass Persuades"
The "kids don't wanna dance" hook is just… it's a melody anybody could write on the spot I prefer Miley when she's singing melodies that allow her to jump around vocally bcuz she has the talent for it.

MILEY - "Bass Persuades"
The melody is just isn't interesting, which is kinda how I've felt about a lot of her music the since EVS. Not bad at all, just doesn't grab me in the way anything off Plastic Heart did. Also, there's something about her vocal processing over the last three records that just muffles her voice so much which frustrates me bcuz her voice is her signature. The production saves this tho. I love this. I can definitely see this getting stuck in my head but I rly doubt this will do anything commercially. I'd love to be proven wrong thoooo

MILEY - 'Bass Persuades'
PLUS she could honor Dolly which the entire world would love her for and her cover of Jolene is beloved by so many so it would be very smart of her to do a quick Dolly tribute by covering Jolene

Is 2026 the worst year for pop music this decade?
It's been very boring and basic for mainstream pop but Slayyyter's album, underscores' album, Kim's album all dropped this year which are some of my favorite albums in a long time.

MILEY - 'Bass Persuades'
I like the sound of the snippet a lot! But I'm not understanding the MILEY thing when the album isn't self-titled and she's still releasing under Miley Cyrus. And MILEY doesn't seem to be a song either? Also, I looooove the red photo and wish that was the album cover

MILEY - 'Bass Persuades'
Miley just texted me! I love that title so much. I just hope the music is good. SB had beautiful ideas but it felt to me like it needed focus and tightening. Some of the songs were long for the sake of being long. Miley's music is best when she's working with people who help her hone in on her best ideas.
