I mean, you nailed it right here. Since a certain time Janet has clearly regressed and publicly given a very ambivalent & lackluster impression. And this leans into a lot of the entire Jackson family's M.O. Idk what this says - is she a person who flip-flops based on what works for her or is she easily manipulated and the worst people around her use that? Knowing what she's shared with us through her work and having followed her public life, both seem plausible. Either way, she's not a damn new girl on the block with no media training - she knew damn well what she was doing. This is as disappointing as it is telling.
