I would argue she clearly is talented because it takes star quality to perform the way she does in front of 50k people at that age. You cannot teach the things shes already doing naturally + shes already dancing better at 13 than Bey did at that age. 

The argument of the dancers feeling some type of way is also bs since they are the ones spending time with Blue and teaching her + they are getting paid for it.

I would not say Blue isn't talented! How many kids, let alone adults could dance like she could at this moment?

 

is her talent alone worthy of performing on a stadium tour? No. She's there because she's the daughter of the recording artist. I think in 5 years she could have the dancing ability to earn a spot legitimately.

So no, it's a flawed take. Both 4 and B'Day are splendid masterpieces. Even taking DC's catalogue into account, TWOTW as well as Destiny Fulfilled were showcasing Bey's outstanding creativity, artistry and genius at their time. 

 

All of those records are just as exquisite as Renaissance imo. 

No. From 2013 onwards Beyoncé has steadily evolved as an artist and her last 4 albums are just on another level, not even her peers or current pop girls could dream of comparing.

And imo it's kind of disrespectful for y'all as fans to imply that her earlier output comes anywhere close as if she had stagnated, they're not bad albums by any means but Beyoncé the visionary and artistic genius had not completely hatched yet.

from 2011 on i'm pretty sure she does, but for the stuff before then i'm not sure when/how she acquired them

Tbh we don't know the full story when it comes to Beyoncé's masters.

 

She definitely owns the masters for everything from 4 onwards, since those albums were released through her own label, Parkwood, with Columbia just handling distribution. A few years ago, she also signed a publishing deal with Sony, which means she now earns more money from her songwriting, including stuff from her Destiny's Child days.

 

The earlier solo albums - DIL, BDay, and IASF — are a bit of a grey area. There have been rumours that she bought back the masters for those albums and negotiated a new deal with Columbia around 2010, but nothing's been confirmed publicly. She has said she owns her masters, but she's never been specific about whether that means all of them or just the ones from 4 onward. A lot of people think Columbia (and possibly her dad's old company) still own the early ones.

I think she owns all her solo masters 2003 onwards. On the RIAA website all her solo work like Crazy in love and Halo etc. is recertified under Parkwood Entertainment/Columbia.

This. I also found it mysterious that typically release-averse Beyoncé would push out Everything Is Love, The Lion King: The Gift and Homecoming: The Live Album so close to each other.

 

 

My working theory is that each album after 4 (which leaked a month early, still used the existing Columbia team over her Parkwood team, and gave her additional bargaining pull with Columbia to leave her deal altogether due to the leak) was used to buy back a previous album. There were also rumors after 4 that she would leave Columbia Records altogether.

 

Self-Titled = 4

Lemonade = IASF

Everything Is Love = B'Day

Homecoming: The Live Album = DIL?

 

The Lion King: The Gift would then be the literal "gift" for the fans now that both halves of her catalog are fully owned by her.

 

 

Taylor Swift was offered a similar deal (an album for an album) before her catalog was sold to Shamrock, but disagreed with the terms. (I think it was one new album a year for six years to buy back her old ones but she wouldn't own the new albums? A snaky deal.  Correct me if I'm wrong)

 

Thus, it would be plausible for Beyoncé to take the deal but negotiate based on her long-term label relationship (from 1996), her most recent album leaking, and her already having the Parkwood imprint up and running to also own the new albums.

Long answer: Yes, but we don't know how much. Most of it, certainly

 

Beyoncé started the company Parkwood Entertainment, and they legally represent her. She owns her masters through them. Idk the specific timeline, but she started Parkwood in 2010 (but Cadillac Records came out in 2008??? I don't get how the film came out before the company when the company produced it but whatever). She fired Matthew as her manager in 2011.

All her Parkwood projects are owned and produced by her with a collaborating distributor like Columbia/Sony for her albums, HBO for Lemonade, Netflix for Homecoming, and Walt Disney for Black is King, etc.

In her Commencement Speech to the Class of 2020 she mentioned owning her masters around 2:23. This is probably the interview mentioned.

Variety broke the exclusive news on Jan. 17, 2020 about a deal to get ownership of her music. Note that Sony owns Columbia.

Beyoncé has signed with Sony/ATV Music Publishing,

Later other sites like Music Business Worldwide and other sites explain explain the deal with some more details.

Beyoncé and Sony/ATV Music Publishing have signed a global agreement covering her entire song catalog.

The deal includes hits from Destiny's Child, through to her collection of solo works written throughout her career.

She has rights to all of her solo work, but some of her earlier albums (Pre-Parkwood), and releases as part of Destiny's Child, might be some sort of partial/joint ownership. Pay attention to the fact that the deal only "includes hits" so it's not the entire catalogue.

Matthew Knowles has a big portion of ownerships rights to Destiny's Child, enough that he feels like he can make a Survivor musical and a movie. It seems like he's working on his own for that and none of the girls have demonstrated public support for either of those ventures. He's interested in creating a biopic, focusing on his part in Destiny's Child, similar to King Richard for the tennis superstar Williams sisters. As for the musical Genius article explains the legal shenanigans well, that it'd need to be focused on him and that he'd have some obstacles to overcome. An unnamed source for inTouch Weekly said that he probably owned the majority of the brand and its masters.

The upper half is great but I'm not a big fan of these big fluffly leg warmers she keeps using. They're not flattering at all.

 

This remains the best opening look imo. Just perfect.

No shade but that's a pretty dense statement. The fur chaps are literally an homage to black cowboy fashion in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Like she's literally trying to teach us fashion history.
