Has any pop star ever bounced back from a trajectory like this?
She doesn't need to 'bounce back'. Everyone's path and journey is different and she has had a very successful and respectable career, more so than the vast majority of recording artists. Everyone slows down at one point, some sooner than later and there is nothing wrong with that. The only reason girls that had similar trajectories as her do not get dissected as much in online spaces is because they don't have hoards of mentally unstable lady ga ga stans foaming at the mouth at their every move.

Was Charmbracelet that bad or was it bad because it came after Butterfly?
It's definitely not among her best bodies of work, but it was perfectly fine laid-back, softer record that worked as a palate cleanser after Glitter and set her up to have her big comeback with Emancipation. It's an important part of her career imo. And there are really good tracks on there. The One, Lullaby, Subtle Invitation and of course Boy (I Need You), which is one of her most underrated singles and best music videos! I prefer it over anything that came after Emancipation tbh.

Why did Hurt and Candyman fail as singles?
They didn't. The only thing that's failed is your 6985327th pathetic attempt at a Christina drag thread.

Kacey Musgraves - "Mexico Honey"
Wow this is one of the best music videos she's ever done. It's absolutely stunning, I'm shocked. As much as I love her music her videos are always kinda whack but this one is so well done and filmed.

K-pop Thread: Red Velvet saves K-pop with summer comeback
You can't convince me that this wasn't Sana's solo and for one reason or another she dropped it and it went to Yuna. It has Sana written all over it.

It's grown on me over the years tbh. And so did Whoz That Girl

Is ATRL biased against artists they don't like?
It's not just that there are biases. Biases are natural. But a big portion of the users here act as if they were ...intellectually challenged.
- Time past. Confessions II is better than every Xtina LP?

Should Katy Perry retire like Rihanna and Britney?

- Billboard: It may be time to give Katy's 143 a second spin and a second opinion
I agree with all of this this, yet was it really deserving of the narrative around it being the 'worst pop album ever' and the worst rated female album on metacritic? Everybody did way too much on what was pretty much a standard, generic dance pop album which had some serviceable bops. At the very least, Crush, All The Love and IHHM are perfectly fine pop songs. I remain unconvinced that had another female pop singer released the same album, it wouldn't have at least 20 points more on Metacritic. But because Katy perry still has hordes of haters for some reason (given her lack of relevancy for the better part of the last 10 years), the overblown reaction kinda got out of stan circles and it became trendy to bash her at large.
