  1. Butterfly definitely. But Stripped is great too.
  2. Which album track from Mariah Carey's 19991's album Emotions do you prefer? Which one do you think would've made for a better single? Discuss!
  3. She doesn't need to 'bounce back'. Everyone's path and journey is different and she has had a very successful and respectable career, more so than the vast majority of recording artists. Everyone slows down at one point, some sooner than later and there is nothing wrong with that. The only reason girls that had similar trajectories as her do not get dissected as much in online spaces is because they don't have hoards of mentally unstable lady ga ga stans foaming at the mouth at their every move.
  4. It's definitely not among her best bodies of work, but it was perfectly fine laid-back, softer record that worked as a palate cleanser after Glitter and set her up to have her big comeback with Emancipation. It's an important part of her career imo. And there are really good tracks on there. The One, Lullaby, Subtle Invitation and of course Boy (I Need You), which is one of her most underrated singles and best music videos! I prefer it over anything that came after Emancipation tbh.
  5. They didn't. The only thing that's failed is your 6985327th pathetic attempt at a Christina drag thread.
  6. Yeah I thought of Music by Madonna when I saw the thread. Truly such a unique record, especially for its time. I'll always champion for it as one of her best works.
  7. Wow this is one of the best music videos she's ever done. It's absolutely stunning, I'm shocked. As much as I love her music her videos are always kinda whack but this one is so well done and filmed.
  8. It's a beautiful song but I feel like it doesn't work as well for the album as the other slow songs and it just drags the pace for me.
  9. I have it like this in my library 1.Can't Hold Us Down 2.Dirrty 3.Infatuation 4.Get Mine, Get Yours 5.Loving Me 4 Me 6.Impossible 7.Underappreciated 8.Beautiful 9.Cruz 10.Walk Away 11.Fighter 12.Soar 13.The Voice Within I listen to it front to back no skips, flows like a breeze.
  10. Would've been a hit with basically any other female artist he decided to get on it.
  11. Was hoping she would remaster Always Be My Baby and One Sweet Day videos in 4k
  12. You can't convince me that this wasn't Sana's solo and for one reason or another she dropped it and it went to Yuna. It has Sana written all over it.
  13. Wow I am surprised at the results. I like the 'sequel' and it far exceeded my expectations, but I still think it's nowhere at the level of the original.

Genuine question, how far away is AI from being able to create a full visual for Renaissance based on the ITG teaser?
  15. I'm so ready for a new album cover I could never find a good replacement
  16. It's grown on me over the years tbh. And so did Whoz That Girl
  17. It's not just that there are biases. Biases are natural. But a big portion of the users here act as if they were ...intellectually challenged.
  18. My god you gays are so insufferable

Omg I love the ITG teaser, I didnt know it had haters
  20. I will never understand the obsession over Dancing On My Own. If nothing else, the singer's delivery of the song is just abysmal. Hung Up > Get Outta My Way >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Dancing On My Own a very distant 3rd
  21. I agree with all of this this, yet was it really deserving of the narrative around it being the 'worst pop album ever' and the worst rated female album on metacritic? Everybody did way too much on what was pretty much a standard, generic dance pop album which had some serviceable bops. At the very least, Crush, All The Love and IHHM are perfectly fine pop songs. I remain unconvinced that had another female pop singer released the same album, it wouldn't have at least 20 points more on Metacritic. But because Katy perry still has hordes of haters for some reason (given her lack of relevancy for the better part of the last 10 years), the overblown reaction kinda got out of stan circles and it became trendy to bash her at large.
