Having gone to this show, I would love a tour film. In fact I wouldn't oppose to the same formula for all three acts (album, tour, tour film) and then wrap up with a visual film. 
 

Who knows what she'll be up to after the trilogy (if she herself has even thought about yet) so the more content the better!

I think there's a middle ground to be had. This tour deserves a film for sure, and considering it had less stops, less dates and higher ticket prices, there's a fair audience out there who would want to go and see it. At the same time, I do believe the slower sales for CCT could also be attributed to her having not only just toured with RWT, but to how recent the RWT Film was. Tour films as good as Beyonce's do sort of quench the thirst for seeing her live, especially when people don't have much disposable income. That's almost certainly why it isn't available to stream yet.  So yes, I want a film, but I don't think it needs to be in cinemas for months like the RWT was. Make it a limited run special event. A 'for three weeks only' sort of gig, that re-hypes the fandom, creates a sense of exclusivity and prevents the overlapping of act ii into act iii.

I can only see it being a possibility if we are truly a way away from the visual for all of the acts. Almost like another placeholder/band-aid.

 

In this era of promo-scarcity (not just with Bey, but all artists), I get our want for "more". Hell, the very CC tour doc I'm saying I don't "want", I'd gladly "take".

 

The only way it makes sense (IMO) is if she has a firm deal in place with Netflix for the visuals for all acts. Thus, allowing her to play the theater game for another tour film. 

 

If not, why waste what could be an incredible theater experience for the acts, for the visuals on another tour film. It cannibalizes the interest for the "main" thing IMO.

Keeping it 100, while the RWT did well in context, it wasn't this huge box office smash. So, I think she would be wise to pick and choose her moments to pounce visually. 

 

This is also why I'd want the CCT film (if it exists) to have a more deluxe, limited run. The truth is that the RWT was not  a major smash at the box office, and it seems clear that the film was used to figure out what her box office draw would be in the event the triiilogy visuals go straight to cinemas. Without going too much into the business case of it all, she'd want to take the box office from RWT and use it for bargaining power without risking a diminished box office for the act ii tour film, which could be construed as a weaker position and thus weaken a deal she could make for the visuals

she didn't have this notice up at every Renaissance show she filmed... which was my point. it might depend on venue policy, state law, or simply courtesy after the rumors of a film had already started to circulate online.

 

when purchasing a ticket on Ticketmaster, you're accepting terms and conditions that explicitly grant the event organizer the rights to use your likeness.

 

this is also why no one can go and ask Bey for "royalties" from the movie appearance — you've already signed the contract, voiding any monetary claims.

Gag them diva! The only question I have here is that she did use footage from London in the RWT Film (including shots of the audience) in Break my soul, but there weren't those signs up in her London shows for that tour?

and my point is she DID at those that were professionally filmed by an additional camera crew specifically for the film. the footage that was used from dates that weren't "professionally" filmed (paris, stockholm opening night etc.) was just the footage from the regular camera crew.

there's no legal difference between what kind of camera or crew is being used. she has the rights to film "professionally" at any tour stop without giving that public notice.

 

Bey's team shoots "professional" photography showing the outfits and faces of her fans on a nightly basis and posts on Parkwood/ Shop Beyonce/ Beyonce.com/ SirDavis/ Cecred for commercial use. those are also covered under Ticketmaster's terms and conditions.

 

I'm replying to you because you are telling people she "didn't film" because "there wasn't a public notice" and it would be "illegal" if she filmed the show. that is an untrue claim.

 

the "you're being filmed" notice is, in most (if not all) cases, not required.

bc that was footage that was filmed by the regular tour crew, not the extra crew she hired to film the movie dates. and unlike what others say, she has to put up a sign at those specific dates, otherwise she wouldn't do it. just like she put up a sign in Seattle and Dallas and also had an additional film crew there

that's… literally not what i've told anyone  i said she may have filmed things, just like she usually does (personal use, archives, minor concert film footage etc), but that it's highly unlikely she filmed anything major specifically for a tour film at the london shows.

and i've added when she does film for a tour film she puts up a notice to inform the audience (as required by law in the eu/uk) and has an extra visible crew and special cameras, all things that weren't present at any show on this tour as of now

 

nothing i've said is untrue, you're just arguing over semantics at this point
