FLO admit they're 'hard to work with' : "We own it!"
I don't know much about them. This is the first time I'm hearing them speak and didn't know they were Bri'ish. I agree with @timothy_b and @Appletree . They said absolutely nothing wrong in that clip. And the ending of the clip was POWERFUL: "How 'bout NO." Perfect exclamation point to everything that was said. ...Vin

Are influencers way bigger than most pop girls?
Just because you have an online presence doesn't mean you're bigger than current musicians or celebrities. For example, influencers are not going to be invited to walk the red carpet at a MET Gala next to other celebrities, and photographers are not going to want to take pictures of them... because it won't make them any money when they try to sell the photo... because the GP doesn't know or care about them. It's a HUGE leap from online personality to reality show star to actual celebrity. It's VERY rare. That's why you don't see many Kim Kardashians. You see her Temu clones online everywhere, but you need MORE than being a little popular online (with BOT views) to be actually known. That's why influencers/YouTubers always stay there—online. The one exception that may catapult you is if you have TALENT in some aspect, i.e. "Obsession." ...Vin

3 out of 4 Americans now oppose data centers, hate driven by association with AI
I already stated the specific real-world reasons why the average American has a negative opinion on data centers, why the average American is unlikely to care about "AI" until it impacts their lives directly, and why messaging matters in regards to "AI" in American media. If from that, all you got is "that's pedantic," then we don't have a conversation here. ...Vin

3 out of 4 Americans now oppose data centers, hate driven by association with AI
The average American isn't worried about "AI taking their jobs," because that hasn't happened to the average American, yet. People in neighborhoods having to allegedly deal with less water, that's a real-world issue on which an average American would have a negative opinion. The "absurd increase of prices in technology" is less of an issue for the average American. It's absolutely not obvious what people mean by "AI." And the context absolutely needs to be clarified when publishing information. That's one of the BIGGEST criticisms with the topic of "AI" in news and media. The term "AI" is extremely broad and, when publishing information, can't be left up to what the reader assumes "AI" to be—that leans heavily into propaganda. Regardless, "to be pedantic" wasn't the intention, the intention was to state the real-world reasons why the average American has negative views on data centers, not the vague, highly unlikely reasoning of "because of 'AI'" (because the average American is not thinking about "AI," and will never think about "AI," until it impacts them negatively and directly in the real world). And, in conversation, when someone says, "People in my office said they hate AI," a very natural follow up question would be, "What do they hate about it? And what AI are talking about?" My statements were very straightforward, fair and balanced. AI Summary: MESSAGING MATTERS. ...Vin

3 out of 4 Americans now oppose data centers, hate driven by association with AI
Hating what about AI? The AI Slop? Because, as I mentioned, the average American isn't using AI. The average American's experience with AI is AI Slop on YouTube and TiKToK and Pinterest, et cetera, that's thrust in their faces. And Google Search AI that's thrust in their faces. That's pretty much it. ...Vin

3 out of 4 Americans now oppose data centers, hate driven by association with AI
It's giving—propaganda. The average American doesn't really care about AI because AI is not really tangible or visible yet to the average American outside of "AI Slop" on YouTube or TiKToK. I think the average American has a negative opinion of data centers due to the constant noise and diminished property value of their homes when one is built near their neighborhood. THAT'S visible and audible. Issues have to effect Americans in an immediate way for them to be concerned—that's how Americans think—that's why they didn't care about Trump's tariffs. A lesser, but growing concern among the average American revolves around the unknown health risks surrounding data centers, with reports citing that the noise pollution is causing headaches, vertigo, nausea, sleep disturbances, ear pain, and hypertension. Again, these issues are having an immediate effect on the average Americans, so concern grows as a result. But this idea that the "average American cares about AI" is delulu—that's more of an online Gen Z thing, like Taylor Swift's private jet usage. ...Vin
