  1. I loooove this!! It's way better than 'drop dead' and it sounds so 90s to me.
  2. I love this album, the second half is amazing.
  3. No, no, no part 1 by destiny's child was going to be given to Brandy for never say never. Also Rain by swv was intended for Brandy's nsn era as well.
  4. This is her best album. I know she said she wouldn't but I have hope for a deluxe lol.

I usually agree with criticism about yvette, bey keeps her around since she's been there since the very beginning but tbh it isn't her fault. At the end of the day it is jay's event, why invite them? yeah yeah it's nice that they raised money for charity but the reality is her father's administration are ruining the economic livelihoods of many Americans right now soo... . Also I realise that celebs care about themselves and their close circles first (like most people), but her father has publicly attacked Bey this year but it's not the first time Jay brushes past stuff like that to be a clout chase. I'm sure this invite is all about jay's latest casino grift business. I won't pretend to care about the morality of gambling but jay has already invested in fanatics and has done well off that so why the casino? that's my parasocial opinion about all this.
  6. I liked this album, i wish it had like 3 more songs.
  7. Yes this era was massive and her classics still do well on streaming. Her personal life wasn't what really changed her career imo it was: Her voice changing from the wear&tear of singing big songs and touring, even on her 2005 live album you can hear the slight vocal damage, she stopped working with Krucial and J records got folded in to RCA/Sony.
  8. It's not a an option in the poll but Short n'Sweet.

I think she owns all her solo masters 2003 onwards. On the RIAA website all her solo work like Crazy in love and Halo etc. is recertified under Parkwood Entertainment/Columbia.

Ehhh idc about the discourse, she spent years being vague about a "stolen sound" without being specific which lead to many conspiracies against Bey.
  11. I really like this song and her music, she might be as big as summer and sza.
  12. I looove this. It's way better than smoke (hated that tbh). I'm happy she is just under interscope, i hope it works out for her.
  13. Variety is such an awful publication.

This is what I've been thinking and it's the main reason I'm extremely against doing a dc reunion or any side projects right now: they do nothing for her solo brand and it usually results in hate campaigns. I'm a cynic so I think any hypothetical dc reunion would result in a hate campaign of people complaining that she is a (rightfully) a lead singer. 25 years later people harbour deep emotions over the dc breakup and the girls roles in the group. Also there would be large group of people pretending to care that Letoya and Latavia aren't part of it and exaggerating their importance of the first edition of dc . I saw an interview of Bey in 2001 explaining that L&L are only on like 6 or 7 songs on TWOTW. Idk about y'all but I was sooo surprised to hear this confirmed when listening to acapellas on Youtube and see people confirm in the comments that it was Bey and Kelly singing stacked vocals (Temptation, I thought the soprano harmony was Letoya). Even on lose my breath, it is only Beyonce on the background vocals. She would be doing most of the work and get hate for it. I can't lie, I still think about what could've been if Beyonce had a solo album/era right after Coachella it was such a waste to do OTRII and EIL and you could see that they were thrown together very quickly. Any joint project between them should've been earlier when Jay was in his prime but that still would've resulted in hate.
