Songs that should've been singles from your fav?
Rihanna: During existing album campaigns: That La La La 🔥 (Had a Tim x Aaliyah vibe that would've made a refreshing pivot after the Bajan-Beyonce aesthetic of "If It's Lovin That You Want") Breakin Dishes (iTunes commercial) Hole In My Head Skin (Urban Radio single) Watch N' Learn (Urban Radio single) We All Want Love (Rom-com Film Soundtrack) Same Ol' Mistakes Consideration (f. SZA) Woo (Urban Radio single) Desperado While On Hiatus Sleeper Hits: Who's That Chick Lost In Paradise Dance In The Dark Pose

Gaga is back with 5 songs with 1m, why? (Katy 4)
The way this whole "solo" discourse started and has now backfired on the originators is most comical. I was there: this all started in the circa-2013 "Drunk In Love" thread because suddenly Beyonce had the #2 single in the country (with Jay-Z) after her 2014 Grammys performance... and y'all were scrambling when you realized her 4 chart underperformance was temporary. Since then, every studio album of hers has a solo Top 10 and/or #1. Y'all blowing all of this hot air about streams but haven't been able to coalesce to create a solo #1 yourselves since streaming began? The liddos and their antics should've been left behind in 2011 with their last solo #1. All talk, no action.

Gaga is back with 5 songs with 1m, why? (Katy 4)
Let me think about this.... outside of streams: Last solo #1 singles? 2011 and 2013. Both let people in their sphere drive a wedge between them and another popstar (Perez Hilton + The Dancers respectively), ending up on the wrong side of history. Never Really Over = Abracadabra (a cry for help + a formal confirmation that their old process of getting easy Top 10 hits will no longer work) Always Remember Us This Way = Harleys In Hawaii (cult classic with streams that far outweigh any chart success.) Both have A&Rs that haven't been A&Ring recently Both are stuck in the musical sound that made them famous... and their fanbase hasn't shown promise in making genre moves with them. Final ruling? #Boatmates.

I have a theory that Lady Gaga has been throwing all of her earnings to Spotify. Obviously it is worth it when you look at the growth in streaming-based units in her catalog, but does anyone else find it strange that her Forbes wealth hasn't grown at the same level as her peers and she hasn't made a formal move to purchase her master recordings yet?

Thanks! I'll add these in a bit. Were these purely Songs In A Minor? Or are some from Erika Rose's potential solo demo / debut project as well?

Artists who flip-flopped in their activism after 2020
I do: she has rightfully moved away from outward support of "All of people of color" to support of Black People only for the time being... as the last election showed a coalition of Latino, Asian, multiple second-generation immigrant populations, and other racialized populations who elected DJT simply because they thought he was only antagonizing Black people at the time. How wrong they were.

Prison reform requires people on both sides of the political aisle working together and financing big initiatives. That's what the dinner was for. Cowboy Carter a MAGA-leaning album? That's news to me. Please unpack that further.

Artists who flip-flopped in their activism after 2020
I love it. She has spoken through her BLACK music, the BLACK artists she has paid homage to, the BLACK businesses and charities she has donated to (via grants), the BLACK people she has bailed out of prison, the scholarships for BLACK college students, and the cease / desist documentation every time DJT or another Republican attempts to use her BLACK music to promote their bigotry. In a world where a president could clamp down on Diversity, Equity & Inclusion without the underlying quest for equality being where it needs to be (and half the country supporting that), she is minding her BLACK business and letting the people who call themselves allies speak for once. I applaud her.

Thank you! Added alongside some other tracks and a hunch or two. Haven't updated this one in a little bit.
- Would DWAS have become a global smash hit if it was Bruno & Xtina?

Beyoncé - "MORNING DEW (DONK)"
Sourpuss over here with the unnecessary negativity. (I was going to downvote you and then I realized you are only 65 likes above water right now. Unless this is a dupe account, you must have really made a lot of people mad... not surprised after reading your last post.)

Beyoncé's Lemonade named "one of the 25 most influential works of American culture"
You know what I love most about this news (other than the continued societal outpouring of confirmation that Beyonce enters the Zeitgeist without lifting a finger because of the intention behind her work and the work itself) ??? It's already on the list. They didn't ask ATRL for input: None of these tears of jealousy mean anything or can do anything.
