This is the only one so far: It was made for her in mind and the A&R weeded it out before it got to Kelly.

I have a feeling both Kelly & Solange were supposed to be Q4, but the clock is ticking and neither one has released a lead single or even a pre-order. In a perfect world her lead would have come out around her feature for The-Dream's project: I hope Kelly's team isn't depending on sympathy listens next year (as we know social media likes to accuse one of sabotaging the others) to push her album. The game has changed.

Kelly Rowland started by accepting more records than co-writes before coming into her own. At least expected a Morgan Wallen or Carrie Underwood collab on her next album, or maybe Fox airing her failed documentary... but nope. Wow. She really switched political affiliations for the love of the game. No pardon has taken place for her brother, and her husband hasn't been taken off the registry.

This was uncalled for and you should be ashamed of yourself. The initial CD sales and then songwriting royalties from "Say My Name" and the rest of the first two albums have kept her living pretty well. -500 Points for Slytherin.

In a perfect world she would've released the 4K videos the week the album was about to fall out, surprise-added "A Woman Like Me" between "Can I Watch You" and "Welcome To Hollywood" on the digital deluxe track-listing along with its Pink Panther DVD bonus feature Performance video on her YouTube / iTunes to get some "new music" coverage from music publications that Thursday night at midnight, and given the project two more weeks of charting shelf life. That song is actually the perfect transition between those two tracks, and a strategic way to subtly put her name in the hat for the next bond song. If the "for your consideration" poster from Columbia is any indication... I hope she can secure her 100th Grammy nomination with "Morning Dew (Donk)."

I sure hope not... the only reason 2024s offering Nu King scraped a Gold RIAA certification is because he added 8 years of lose singles that moved units in various markets: "Swalla" (2017), "Take You Dancing" (2020), "Jalebi Baby" (2020), "Tip Toe" (2017), "Lifestyle" (2021), "Love Not War (The Tampa Beat)" (2020), and "Acapulco" (2021). Atlantic Records is in for a rude awakening, and I fear he's getting dropped. Maybe he's planning to add remaining lose singles "If It Ain't Love" (2016), "If I'm Lucky" (2017), "Savage Love (Laxed-Siren Beat) (BTS Remix)" (2020), "Cono" (2020), "Don't Cry For Me" (2020), "Make Up" (2018), 'Let's Shut Up And Dance" (2019), "Mamacita" (2019), "Too Hot" (2019), and the 11-13 remaining singles that didn't chart anywhere to this one. *All be bolded tracks at least have chartings and certifications in more than one market.

Added to DIL. Thank you! Reading further... It makes me wonder whether "Twerk" was originally a DIL song that was re-jigged with Sean Garrett and Kelly / Michelle for Destiny Fulfilled. This also leads me to female rapper Sarai's sole album The Original, with 3 Scott Storch / Robert 'EST' Waller tracks that could've been Beyonce tracks: "I Know," "You Could Never," and "Life." (If you guys - @nooniebao , @guppypuss , @LibraSnake01 - agree with any of these three, I'll add them to the "hunch" category.)

I'm surprised Japan/US bonus track "Save It For Your Prayers" isn't on this reimagined project. Every other track made it. Maybe it's a hidden track or will be a digital exclusive?

The reason these new girls aren't growing to superstardom as quickly is because the marquee acts like Rih are stockpiling the best writing camp records and no one beneath is receiving a spare Rihanna, Pink, Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera, Olivia Rodrigo, Adele, Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, Kesha, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, or Britney Spears outtake to make their next lead single and level up. Where are the Ian Kirkpatrick, Babyface, StarGate, Sia, Roommates, Mattman & Robin, Tinashe, Meghan Trainor, Ryan Tedder, Benny Blanco, Sarah Hudson, Charlie Puth, Cleo Tighe, Feli Ferraro, KAMILLE, Victoria Monét, Tayla Parx, FINNEAS, Dan Nigro, and Julia Michaels demos originally meant for the bigger girls? This is how Zara Larsson, Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, Dua Lipa, Little Mix, Rita Ora, Camila Cabello, Ava Max, Miranda Cosgrove, Sabrina Carpenter, Fifth Harmony, Renee Rapp, Tate McRae, Hailee Steinfeld, and Demi Lovato formally broke into the pop game and found sounds that work. (I'm looking at Tyla, Mabel, Adela, KATSEYE, Kim Petras, FLO, Dove Cameron, Latto, the Blackpink girls, Pia Mia, Citizen Queen, Say Now, etc.)

She's Bajan and Jamaican and wrote chunks of this project at a writing camp in Jamaica. I'm sure social media would tear her apart with middle-of-the-road pop fare (as y'all did with "Don't Say Love" and "Woman"). In my opinion, her sound is best when she goes with an Ester Dean / Tayla Parx style of reggae x Pop N'B:

I wanted all of the left-field artists (MIA, Le Tigre, Santigold, Sia, Switch, Ladytron) to have a home on this album. Synth bleeps, chants, and everything in between. "Keeps Getting Better" is the perfect bonus track. No real comparisons to Lady Gaga here: Perez Hilton is left jobless. Bionic I Hate Boys WooHoo Elastic Love Lift Me Up All I Need Stronger Than Ever You Lost Me My Girls Monday Morning Bobblehead Birds Of Prey (Bonus) Keeps Getting Better ("I Am" would be the instant grat song you get for pre-ordering on iTunes.) I would remove "Not Myself Tonight," "Desnudate," "Vanity," "Glam," "Prima Donna," and "Sex For Breakfast" so they could join their siblings "Express" and "Show Me How You Burlesque" on an expanded Burlesque Soundtrack with enough Christina songs that she could count it as an additional album. It would probably be Double or Triple platinum at this point.

I've been on here too long. I remember when I first started, people were arguing here that Ashanti, 50 Cent, and Keri Hilson were less than 5 years from their last hit and could always stage a comeback. Now people are bringing up artists that debuted in 2017-2018? My word.
