Coming from the same lady who released SELF-TITLED. LEMONADE. Why is it hard to believe she is cultivating something more than just music? I know the release strategy for acts have been unorthodox, but maybe this is all a part of her plan(?)

Now that we've seen Blue Ivy take part in the RWT and CCT, is there anyone that prefers her getting a dance number over seeing the dancers perform? Specifically, the ballroom segment being shortened on the CCT so she can do the Deja Vu dance. I didn't mind the My Power moment from the RWT it was cute seeing Bey and Blue perform together. However, I'd rather see the dancers do their thing, even if it's just reheated RWT nachos. What is everyone else's thoughts? 
 

Lastly, if this trend continues, how do you feel about Blue having a notable presence in Beyoncé's work moving forward? (Trilogy music videos/film, tours, movies, etc.)

Prefer Blue. Im enjoying Beyonces pop star boot camp and itll be so cute in the movie.

Dont be too hard on Team Parkwood when a lot of the Chaos CLEARLY comes from Beyonce. And to be clear: not all chaos was bad. Releasing Renaissance during COVID was an incredibly wise move + CC also feels much more fitting now with its inherent critiques towards US American Society. But these decisions came with a price.

 

We've seen her team, with previous employees she consider the greatest underdogs, pull of the greatest live performances and tours, the biggest surprise drops, lucrative appearances and bread with the constant meddling and overnight changes from Bey and her father over the years. Her changing ideas at the drop of a dime is nothing new when she's accustomed to changing a full album concept while recording, or changing a normal album releases to a random surprise with accompanying videos for each song in the midst of touring and panning a Super Bowl with external ease in her brand. 
 

Bey has always been a problem, being her own biggest critic and steeping in the way of small triumphs for the idea of big triumphs, but it's never been this level of consistent mishaps, be it great or small. Yes, Bey is at the helm of production, but we talking about things beyond her control, things a team needs to be on top of, not just her changing her mind.

huh? she's not featured in Joker 2.  if you're talking about her DIL album cover in Madame Web, they had to pay her to use her likeness. which leads me to my next point...

 

she's not going to give pinterest "tea" for an ad that promotes her show and them not even mention the tour name or the name Beyoncé. if we know one thing about beyoncé she's not doing it if there's not a check. and if they spent the money in the budget to pay her, why would they refer to her tour as "that concert" and not the tour's name knowing it would drive traffic to their site? It's because they couldn't mention her or ELSE they'd have to run her a check. need u to put on ur thinking cap. beyonce is not taylor she is about maximizing that brand recognition with her name. thats why CÉcred and IVY park and SIR Davis have her and her family's names on them.

Honestly don't mind Big Blue on the stage, Bey DEFINITELY needs to join her during the DV dance before the tour end and kill the "she needs blue to dance for her" talk. 
 

I don't need a Ballroom or Saloon dance break from these particular dancer, because there's nothing exciting about them. They don't stand out like RWT or MCS dancers. Watching Blue do her things is more exciting!

no. watching blue's growth in her dancing and stage confidence has been a wonderful sight. id rather watch that any day than a carbon copy of the ballroom segment from RWT.

We still need Deja Vu permeant on the setlist.

I agree that for some reason the dancers aren't standing out. I just chalked it up to the ugly wardrobe

I'll be honest I'm here for Beyoncé. I don't really care about watching any non established family members perform on stage. Solange dancing cute, Jay Z rapping werk, the kids taking up permanent slots dancing or standing around…

Blue is murdering the stage during AHAP tho. She dances just as fiercely as any background dancer, so theres that. Blue is the heir we deserve and have to push! No other ***** will be able to fill the hole Bey will leave, so we gotta act strategic

would rather have the dancers doing their thing rather than blatant nepotismo being pushed around a 13year old who isn't even that great at it.

i don't like the whole family stick either but i'd rather see her perform with blue than with him so i'll take it ig 

 

i love seeing the kids as cameo appearances or interlude dance offs. but there should be a balance.

 

most ppl attending are paying $300-2000 to see HER not the carter fam. so i can see where its frustrating. 

I went to the CCT stop last night in London and it was absolutely phenomenal. For anyone with access to GA tickets (unseated), the absolute best seat in the house is around the arrow in South Standing. I don't know how me and my friends managed it, but we were basically at the barrier, and unlike RWT she makes incredible use of the staging in this show and spends almost half of the setlist at the tip of the stage. The show itself wasn't without flaws (she really could be doing so much more during that Trucker Hits section, and the Crazy in Love rendition on this tour feels ridiculously sluggish) but I actually enjoyed this show more than RWT (and I went twice to that show). 

 

She looks incredible, isn't afraid to be goofy or mess up like she used to be, and interacts nicely with the audience (the diva section in particular is really charming). Blue and Rumi were scene stealers, with the latter tearing up during Protector which made me and everyone around me cry too. Blue is also garnering some genuinely impressive stage presence, and Deja Blue went off. I've never been a fan of the family roadshow vibe, but there was something special about the whole stadium erupting into cheers whenever she ate the choreo.

 

Other nitpicks include the Daughter dress (love the concept but it just could've been cuter) and Alligator Tears (which has never hit for me--sorry guys--and sucks up a lot of energy before Protector and Flamenco bring it back). I also still can't believe II Most Wanted doesn't get a proper moment at all, considering it was one of the few hits on Cowboy Carter. When it started playing before Cuff It the entire stadium was singing along to it. Everyone knew the words. It was a nice moment, but it's odd to me that in the conception of this tour Bey and Parkwood chose to give Alligator Tears a 4 minute segment and reduced II Most Wanted to an interlude. 

 

But nitpicks aside, a magical experience that has converted some of my friends into stans, and undoubtedly charmed everyone else in attendance too. Truly magic, and I can't wait for Act III.

 

Highlights include; Getting to see the Renaissance act in the darkness, instead of in daylight; Levii's Jeans (the tour arrangement is absolutely fantastic and I don't even care much for the studio track); Jolene/Daddy Lessons on the horseshoe; YaYa/Why Don't You Love Me; Spaghettii with the repetition of the "I ain't in no gang" line; The Bank of Beyonce bills confetti canon during Thique; Sweet Honey Honey Summer Buckiin; Bodyguard.

 

Considering the setlist wasn't originally packed with hits, this show felt energetically like a real crowd pleaser. Everyone was having fun. Whereas the RWT found itself experiencing energy dips throughout (maybe because it's easier to groove to a song like Bodyguard for the first time than it is to dance along to I'm That Girl?).

 

It wasn't a sold out show, but I know so many people that would love to have gone if the prices were lower. That means Beyonce still has the demand to sell out stadium shows, she's just over-estimating the spending power of her fans. I really hope Parkwood learn their lesson and lower the prices for the Act III tour, because there's no reason to milk stans dry during presales only to drop reduced tickets for the GP a week before the show in the hopes to fill more seats. 

 

Those are most of my thoughts :-)

How could Beyonces dancers be pissed off? Blue has been in the choreo since the beginning, she is apart of the show. If theyre mad its entitlement to being more featured despite it NOT being the artists vision.

I think more than anything, it's fun to make interpretations of her work. Especially after being a fan since the beginning—the "RENAISSANCE" era really made me look at her artistry differently than I did after the self-titled era and even "LEMONADE."

I work in brand marketing. Beyonce had nothing to do with this advert. Young marketing executives are paid to have their finger on the pulse. They just made an advert that looped in relevant cultural concert imagery. Beyonce was already going around with cowboy hats for the renaissance tour and the disco hat went viral for it on Etsy and Pinterest. It was obvious there would be a Cowboy Carter tour. This ad is just their way of maintaining their own relevance when it comes to concert culture. At most, someone in that marketing team knows someone who knows someone who was working on the tour production, and they wanted to get ahead of the curve. But Beyonce herself really doesnt have anything to do with this.

 

Beyonce loves money more than anyone I know. If she was doing a collaboration with Pinterest it would not be a smoke and mirrors campaign. It would be obvious, it would be bold, and both Pinterest and Beyonce would need to see some sort of benefit from it. Pinterest would need an endorsement from Beyonce, while Beyonce would need millions from Pinterest. Neither of those things happened.

 

I agree that it's fun to look for hidden details in Bey's work, but when fans try to join dots that don't exist it sets them up for major disappointment. Bey doesn't play that sort of Taylor Swift game. If there are any actual clues about the visuals, they're in the interludes. I mean, one of the interludes is literally called 'Trailer' and seems to literally be an advert for Act II of the trilogy visual story. And it looks amazing! 

 

I think a lot of these theories are a result of Swiftie culture and as a result of Beyonce's silence regarding the visuals. People want to believe there's a bigger plan at work, but as people say, this is a team that can't even release a proper CD for an album they're releasing, or print a book in time for a release date they set themselves. There is no master plan. It's just an advert. The visuals will come when they come, but I doubt even Beyonce knows when that will be at this point. Just enjoy the ride
