  1. Idk - church girl's sin is the manic production. there's like two layers too many on that track. it's BDAY loud. I think the live version works for me because the live arrangement isn't competing with Bey's vocals (when Bey's live, her vocals always win out). Sometimes on the record her vocals and the production sound like theyre having a fight to be heard. Impeccable lyrics tho. It's a beautiful song.
  2. Every time I see church girl live it hits in a way it never has done on the album. truly a live anthem.
  3. She wants to launch luxury products but she has a broad fanbase of normal people who can't afford to buy that stuff from her. cecred is one thing, but I'm not spending £80 on any liquor in this economy, let alone a random whiskey I've never tasted. Trying a new product is a gamble because you don't even know if you'll like the taste / have it worth the money. I get she wants to be luxe, but why not send £20 smaller bottles to normal retailers and supermarkets? Why not do a deal with a mid-tier bar chain to have one of her SirDavis cocktails on the menu? There's so much obvious stuff she could be doing. I mean, it's even like how Ivy Park x Adidas fumbled the bag by skipping over making normal, affordable-ish gym clothes and instead selling £80 hoodies and £120 pleather boiler suits. We dont have the money for nonsense, Giselle!!! But if an Ivy Park tee was in store for £20 I'd consider it...
  4. im glad someone clocked it...

  8. Mind you in the last 5 years Bey has released several GP friendly anthems including: CUFF IT BREAK MY SOUL AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM SUMMER RENAISSANCE TEXAS HOLD EM BODYGUARD JOLENE II MOST WANTED YA YA
  9. Hahaha I mean sure, but the Can't Knock the Hustle performance was kinda as viral as her Dubai riff and it deserved an insta placement
  10. Girl... There was a bunch of discourse when Cowboy Carter came out (her Rodeo Queen pose being a prime example) but the idea that she wasn't platforming black country musicians was literally never a part of that conversation. That's because the main thesis of this entire project was to uplift and legitimise black country artists. Without Cowboy Carter there would have been no Shaboozey hit. You either don't know what you're talking about, aren't familiar enough with this project to be critiquing it like this, or are being wilfully obtuse about it all.
