ATRL needs to move on from this album. It's pretty bad yeah, I never listen to it. But I also never think about it. Taylor just needs to hold herself to her own standards. She is an incredible writer. That should be her focus. Not sales, not hits, not easter eggs - but what she wants to say about her experience of the world through her art.

This problem is solvable - but it's a nightmare for venues. Treat concert tickets like airline tickets. Verify the buyer's identity, keep tickets locked until the day of the event, and only allow resale through the official platform at face value. Cancel and reissue tickets whenever they're resold. Do that, alongside strict purchase limits, and most ticket touting disappears overnight.

I feel bad for Prince Harry. It must be incredibly difficult, when you're fundamentally stupid to unpick two truths: 1) he has had a remarkable life - he is the child of two of the most famous people to have ever lived, he is the descendant of a 1000 years of English monarchy, his mother died in the most tragic and public circumstances and his grief has been a public spectacle for the past 20 years 2) he is a totally unremarkable person - as aforementioned, not the brightest, no discernable skills and has nothing of substance or use to say about anything His life has been special, but he isn't special in anyway. He left the Royal Family, and quickly found out that without the institution behind him - he has no place in the world.

Weirdly, not an improvement on the original. There's something so pure, earnest and hollow about Lily's delivery that perfectly matches the lyrical theme of the song.

Jealous Type really turned me off and I never bothered to listen to the album. The era felt long, and meandering, and the album far too long. It needed to be more concise and confident.

I agree, this needs to be a short and focussed campaign. Based on what she's said, this is going to a much more personal album, perhaps even a concept album tracing the break down of her relationship, a la Lemonade and West End Girl. I think the campaign should be characterised by a sense of restrain, purpose but strong world building. Perhaps one single six weeks out, announced alongside the album with pre-orders for vinyls and other formats. And then bring the album into real life, and off the internet. Perhaps a live show without phones, or a mini tour. Or she could make something physical fans can touch and buy and collect - like a mini book or magazine that tells the story of the album. I like the idea of an offline campaign - something you can only really engage with in real life. It fits in with in with the current human first anti-AI sentiment in her target fanbase too.

I think a Q3 2027 would be good, with a preceding summer single. I think this campaign needs to be much shorter and sharper, with a clear plan to get the album out before the first single.

If Bey does the super bowl, I will be watching, and it will be amazing. At best, the majority of people in the US might have some recollection that she has previously performed there. But I doubt the first reaction, beyond the cesspit of the internet, will be 'Beyonce - AGAIN?'. That said, I think Jay giving the half time show to himself, and to his wife, looks a bit weird. And I'm against pretty much them do anything together. If Beyonce is going to close out the trilogy - it needs to be about that.

This thread is so weird. I thought the deluxe was poor, but why would I care if it was successful or not? I didn't like Patient Zero, so I simply don't listen to it.

The revisionism around this album is insane It's not bad, but it's indulgent and the song writing lacks discipline. Taylor Lore took front and centre. Focus and excellence took a back seat. If she had cut this down to 14 songs it would be easier. But even then, not one of her best

she needs a huge commercial breakthrough and then she can pull it back a bit and go more critically acclaimed - but yes the potential is there!
