We built sand castles that washed away I made you cry when I walked away Oh, and although I promised that I couldn't stay, baby Every promise don't work out that way, oh, babe Every promise don't work out that way Dishes smashed on my counter from our last encounter Pictures snatched out the frame *****, I scratched out your name and your face What is it about you that I can't erase, baby? When every promise don't work out that way, no, no, babe When every promise don't work out that way And your heart is broken 'cause I walked away Show me your scars and I won't walk away Oh, and I know I promised that I couldn't stay, baby Every promise don't work out that way, no, no, no, no, no Every promise don't work out that way Like girl...

I actually like the melody and production, especially when the harmonies come in. But the lyrics completely kill it. It has zero emotional weight. She just says the same thing over and over again.

Sandcastles has some of her worst lyrics ever. It's so repetitive, and the rhyming scheme is insanely basic.

Beyoncé has been the GP's Illuminati poster child for decades. Why?
It is fundamentally rooted in racism, and misongy. But there are other successful black female artists, and they don't recieve the same amount of constant conspiratorial criticism. What differentiates Beyonce: Her story is too 'boring'. She is so successful, so talented, so beautiful. But her story is essentially: I'm very talented, and pretty but I also worked really hard. People find that hard to process. As a result, they start to look for other answers. She never explains herself, or feeds into her public narrative. I think people find that frustrating. They want ownership over her in some form. They want to break her, control her, and have ownership of her 'comeback'. The media and public do that all the time. She is inaccessible, but present. It annoys people lol.

I actually think releasing a perfume under Cecred makes much more sense than the standalone perfumes (I can't even remember what that brand is called). Cecred is doing well, and she should focus on building that out properly. She should also ditch Sir Davis.

Pop Emergency: Taylor's TLOAS departs the UK Album charts after only 47 weeks.
I actually like UK album chart rules - it stops singles distorting everything LOAS is extremely horrible, I'm surprised it stuck around for so long

I really like the new Creole. It's an improvement. Back Up is different, I like it about the same as the original She sort of sounds like she's struggling on Lost You Mind - I prefer the OG
