People clown on Cowboy Carter too much Is it her best work? No. Is it to everyone's taste? No. But it is immaculate, rich, and diverse. Comparing it to fundamentally poor albums of music, like Katy or Camilla, is insane.

I was unimpressed by Jungle, Shook and Weeds. They were fine, but not at the level of the songs recorded under their contract with Virgin. But Modern Love sounds really promising. I sort of hope they don't include the singles from the last two years, and move on with a new single, and an album pre-order.

I think cancelling would be very challenging for him at this point. In his statement, he tried to emphasise that his outwardly 'apolitical' stance was driven by respect for his fans, rather than his own pocket. Does he still respect his fans? Or will that suddenly change when he feels like he is personally under too much pressure, or the whole thing becomes just too difficult. On the other hand, finishing the tour will be difficult too. All eyes will be on every show. There will be protestors on both sides. This is a literal PR nightmare. Good! Hope he suffers.
