Exactly. I understand why she wants them as part of the show and moments like Protector are sweet. But having Blue featured so heavily, especially for Deja Vu seems like she's trying to create the next generation of the Carter dynasty on the backs of people who paid to see her.

Blue has been heavily incorporated into Beyonce's projects since 2013 in Self-Titled. Nobody who's a current fan of Beyonce is put off by her presence enough for it to affect her continued inclusion. I personally don't think showbiz is a safe place for kids to be, and I don't think I'd want my own kids on stage, but I do think the fleeting moments Blue gets on this tour (and they really are fleeting) are special and cool, and it's all a bit of fun in the end! If there was an OTR III and it was Bey and Blue as joint headliners then we'd be having a different convo, but this feels fine imho. And this is coming from someone who also doesn't love the family show vibe. But seeing the tour last night convinced me that - at least live - it really works.

I think because Blue and Rumi are really the only viral moments of this tour, their presence seems inflated to those online. In real life theyre only in the show for about three songs? And one is a short interlude (Deja Blue) which actually works really nicely (because it comes before a visual segment which really highlights Beyonce's long legacy in the industry, with Blue obviously being her own personal legacy). 

 

I wasn't convinced that this tour felt very well conceived from what I saw online, but seeing it last night I really do understand beyonce's vision here. 

The way yall will switch when Ms Blue will serve vocals at the age of 16-17 because she's been secretly taking vocal lessons ever since she was 8

i don't think this is a teaser or easter egg and more of a cheeky nod to what could be coming next 

 

but it'd sure be funny (and very beyoncé) of her to make us sit through folk, EDM, gospel and jazz albums before getting to the elusive rock album 

 

And no matter what's next, be it house, country, folk, EDM, gospel, jazz, or rock and roll by your standards, it's inarguably hers to explore, experiment with, and express as "unconventionally" as she deems fit.

Question for those who scored cheap tickets (in good spots, not the rafters lol)

 

What are the best modes of play?

 

* Is there a specific time to wait until on show day to pounce?

 

* Best vendor for this: Ticketmaster, venue, secondary market?

 

* How low can low go?

 

Context: I've gone already in London, but keen to see the show from a cute level-1 seat...but looking to snatch ticket for as cheap af reasonably priced as possible.

People want Blues segment replaced with background dancers people didnt pay to see either.  Beyonce is not physically on stage 100 percent of the time.  Some other part of the show (dancers, singers or instrumentalist) would take that space when Beys changing or breaking.  Its fine that its Blue.

I totally understand ppl's gripe with her including the children as permanent piece of the show, but I'm part of the fraction who don't mind. 
 

- As someone stated, they're not completely intertwined into the threading of the full show.  Yes, Big Boss Blue has advanced from the 15 minute routine "MY POWER/BLACK PARADE", but it's only bits and pieces. Though I don't understand having her constantly switching on & off stage during certain songs that could be inappropriate when it would make sense just have her deliver 30-45 minutes and disappear from the show, but I digress. Blues the manager here! 

- She's noticed the girls desire to take part in her work life that could lead to them trailing into showbiz. There's no better way to show them the ropes than to have them step into her world firsthand. She's made it know she wants to focus on them, as they're growing up, so this is her avenue for continuing to tour while spending time with them. 
 

- For some reason, she's performed this particular tour on the 'safe' side. Adding the kids is simply just an added bonus in my eyes. From the songs she chose to bring back, the choreo, wardrobe, she's pretty much catered to a more family friendly environment this particular tour, which brings me to my only opposing point.

 

- In my eyes, their children only create the small issue to where she's not as 'sexy' with them here. Looking back at "PARTITION", "PLASTIC OFF THE SOFA" & "THIQUE", now "DESERT EAGLE", "Crazy in Love" & "II HANDS II HEAVEN", they're too tamed and easily corky. I think with the children so keen into the show, it takes away from certain moments, because her mind is still in Mommy Mode. 
 

But that's it, Blue can stay, she continue to get better and be a real problem❗️

 

Been to her every tour over the last 16 years, and i find CC to be the best one so far. Reneissance had better storytelling, concept and video transitions, Formation had peak choreography and the best execution.

But CC has an amazing flow, the set list flows better then Rena and it is more fun and goes by so quickly. she packed so much in almost 3 hours! Vocals are unmatched, her stage presence is out of this world, so much charisma, she seems more relaxed and present, funny and playful. Overall, the best Bey has ever been as an overall artist and a performer. I love how live performances of some of her songs change my perception of it (i..e i hated Spaghettio with passion, but seeing it live it made me fall in love with it, same for my house). CC tour is greater than sum of its parts and her halo really radiates.

seeing it in person vs via social media is so different. i was among the ones who disliked the idea of her children being featured so much, having seen it so often on my socials. but seeing it in person, it is fun and cool, not something that dominates or takes over the show, it is just a glimpse. blue gets like 3 minutes of all focus on herself  and thats it, a few more performances where she is among dozens of dancers. 

The thing that kinda irks me about Blue is that she had so much pull in having Diva remain on the setlist but she couldn't use her pull to get Deja Vu, Suga Mama, or Green Light on the setlist?

They just made an advert that looped in relevant cultural concert imagery. Beyonce was already going around with cowboy hats for the renaissance tour and the disco hat went viral for it on Etsy and Pinterest. It was obvious there would be a Cowboy Carter tour. This ad is just their way of maintaining their own relevance when it comes to concert culture. At most, someone in that marketing team knows someone who knows someone who was working on the tour production, and they wanted to get ahead of the curve. But Beyonce herself really doesnt have anything to do with this.

 

Beyonce loves money more than anyone I know. If she was doing a collaboration with Pinterest it would not be a smoke and mirrors campaign. It would be obvious, it would be bold, and both Pinterest and Beyonce would need to see some sort of benefit from it. Pinterest would need an endorsement from Beyonce, while Beyonce would need millions from Pinterest. Neither of those things happened.

 

I agree that it's fun to look for hidden details in Bey's work, but when fans try to join dots that don't exist it sets them up for major disappointment. Bey doesn't play that sort of Taylor Swift game. If there are any actual clues about the visuals, they're in the interludes. I mean, one of the interludes is literally called 'Trailer' and seems to literally be an advert for Act II of the trilogy visual story. And it looks amazing! 

 

I think a lot of these theories are a result of Swiftie culture and as a result of Beyonce's silence regarding the visuals. People want to believe there's a bigger plan at work, but as people say, this is a team that can't even release a proper CD for an album they're releasing, or print a book in time for a release date they set themselves. There is no master plan. It's just an advert. The visuals will come when they come, but I doubt even Beyonce knows when that will be at this point. Just enjoy the ride
